That the software allows players to keep notes and data (via Holdem Indicator) from session to session is a huge difference for me. The fact that Equity produces handhistories makes it possible for me to look back on hands after the game and also provides the possibility that HM will work with it in the future either by HM adding Equity to their roster directly or by someone writing a script that will enable the HM handhistories to work anyway. Also the Bovada tables for some reason have alway felt irritatingly cold and ugly to me.

So far I haven't had any crashes or bugs with the Equity software. If they would improve the betting input I would be pretty content with the software. I'm used to being able to roll my mouse wheel and having the bets increase in small increments. That's what I would really like to see.

I guess we are talking about different issues. To me, the anonymous tables in bovada is a problem but not a software problem.

They work with what they have. Both them and Chico network (BOL) use the same software and the Equity network one works significantly better. the bet slider issue has been for couple of years at least . Open folding hands when you timed out even on the river IP when checked to is just ridiculous tho.

I can live with software issues as long as I see some improvement there but Equity has been here already for a couple of months and no bugs got fixed I believe since they started.

Currently the software is the main issue why the site can't grow further.

Neither Equity nor Betonline (Chico) actually own the software they use. They lease it from a company that, as I understand it, solely leases the software. Until recently Chico was a pretty small network. Chico, though, has expanded quite a lot as of late and with the addition of Equity the software distributors are now dealing with a fairly large player base which I hope gives them the resources and motivation to make improvements.

I'm pleased to let you know that the bug causing a players cards to get folded if the action is checked to him and if he doesn't act in time has been fixed. This patch will be rolled out with the next major software update. I don't have an exact ETA for this fix yet but it's coming.

Though some fixes might not meet the end-users eye the networks development team has rolled out a number of updates in the last months and will continue in doing so.

The only players who had their funds seized by the network are those that were part of the collusion ring shut down by the networks security team. Those funds were credited back to the players who had fallen victim to the collusion ring.

Reading back in this thread it appears clear now that Opal had been wrongly accused of being part of the collusion ring and I'm pleased to see that his operator and the network have resolved the issue to his satisfaction.

If you should have additional information on "players being robbed" please share those stories with us I'm sure the community would appreciate it.

I was banned couple days (a week maybe?) after the info about collusion ring being caught went public so it wasn't the case I believe.

Sit and Go action is less dormant than one might think. They usually run pretty frequently once a player starts kicking them off with the most popular ones being the 6-max BigPay Sit and Gos. I would recommend registering to a few and to give it a bit while maybe playing a tournament. It would be certainly great to see an increase in SnGs running 24/7.

I took this screenshot just now.

I do know that those issues are on the developers task list. Unfortunately I do not know if they are fixed together with the patch in bet sizing but will post an update as soon as I have information on hand.

That's how you spot the bots!
Betonline was blatantly fixed poker. I'm thinking this could be the same thing with same shady people.

Unfortunately you're wrong in your assumption.

Players that display this information have not entered an address / country during account creation when signing up in November and December 2013. This has since been rectified and it is not possible for new players to hide their location any more.

Wow, you figured it all out!

Bots are no longer a threat now that every player can spot them so easily!

First impressions from a recreational NL multi-tabler for Full Flush Poker:

The card dealing/action is very fast. The timeout time is fast but not unreasonable.

In the simplest layout, "Closed Curtains", the background curtains are green, the card backs are green and the "it's your turn" flashing player box is green. Different colors would help with timing out which I did too often playing 4 tables and watching TV. Also a plain neutral background is preferable to curtains, sunsets, etc. Love the black felt, would love it more if you took the logo out of the center.

The sounds are OK.

As with some other sites, the washed-out blue diamonds card indices are hard to distinguish from the black spades. Otherwise the cards are nice, large and legible.

Not a big deal but the player names and balances are small and hard to read. There is enough space in the existing player box to increase the font size by a good 25% or so.

You can only wait list individual tables. There is not enough traffic yet for this to be an issue.

There is a notes feature but you have to open the note each time to read it, no color or avatar coding.

At micro-stakes there are more full ring (10 man actually) tables than 6 max, not sure why, but I prefer full ring.

Let us mark players somehow, please. Any form of colour coding would be great, notes are simply not enough imo.

Good post.

Also I think that Double or Nothings would bring in some traffic.

DoNs would bring only another collusion rings and cause more problems than anything else. There're good reasons why Stars cancelled them a long time ago...

Also, less SNG formats = higher probabillity that some will fill up.

DON collusion rings simply aren't a problem on the smaller sites. There is no way that a collusion ring can hide itself when players are playing against each other so regularly. Over just a few games, collusion is actually pretty easy to spot. DONs became a focal point of paranoia after PokerStars cancelled them, but PokerStars' huge size creates a number of various problems that most sites don't need to worry about nearly as much.

PokerStars had a huge DON player pool in which the colluders could hide. I was a victim of the Chinese gang of colluders. Although they had probably been colluding for sometime, it was the first time I had ever played against those players. In a very large player field it is much more difficult to become familiar with your opponents.

Also 10 person DONs are much less susceptible to collusion than 6 person DONs.

There is no form of game that gets more complaints and wastes more security resources than DONs. As such I agree with everything you've said more or less but want to add this:

50/50s would be fine

50/50's never really moved in popularity beyond PokerStars because they are actually nothing more than regular sitngos with a more spread out pay structure. A lot of the borderline players that can turn a profit in DONs, and consequently who are the players that come and fill the tables, can't make a profit at 50/50's. And the good players who do make a profit from 50/50's can make a better profit playing regular sitngos; the good players find themselves fighting the rake. This is why there has never and will never be much of a demand for 50/50's.

There are a lot of complaints from the DONs because there are a lot of beginning players who play in the DONs. Those types of players are often going to assume that they are losing because they are being colluded against or because the RNG is rigged or because the site has superusers. Beginning players can be a pain in the ass but every site needs them nevertheless. DONs bring in new players and that's exactly what this site needs.

And I stand behind my assertion that it is very difficult for colluders to collude unnoticed on small sites in 10 person DONs.
