But seriously, the situation doesn't reflect well on TP, and giving him the $25 would've been a good CS move. And LOL at anyone saying that giving him the $25 means they have to give it to everyone.

We see a lot worse at different poker sites, and this wouldn't affect my decision to play or not play there, but they definitely dropped the ball on this one IMO.

Edit to add: Reading all the replies made me go back and reread db's original post to see where all the negative reaction was coming from. Still not getting it. Did I miss db posting some transcript earlier in the thread where he was nasty to the CS?
Hey Bobo, what I mean is that if donkeybozo reports that he ended up getting the $25 on here just because he had to send in docs, then TP is screwing over thousands of people who also had to send in docs but never got $25 free money with no roll over. I didn't say they would have to give $25; what I was getting at is that giving him $25 would look worse than not giving it from the perspective of the whole TP player base. If a TP tech accidentally transferred cash into the wrong account, would anybody question them for taking it back? But because a $25 promise got accidentally put in an e-mail they're liable? What if the e-mail said he gets $1000? If it's just about principle and not about the amount, you really think they should just give him 1K for an e-mail typo?

Like Zecko said, he gets on my nerves because he is directly questioning the integrity of TP saying:
Quote:
I made a withdrawl of the full amount and it was processed and sent the 25th. Ill let you know when I receive it if i do.
So basically he's so mad about not being able to take advantage of a clear mistake to get money he obviously doesn't deserve in anyway that he's coming on a public forum and slandering a company many people have obviously played with and trusted for years.

Is there a risk that he could be given the money and then tell everyone he got it without qualifying that it was an error in the email? Sure there is. Same as there is any time you give one customer special treatment for one reason or another. Fortunately, a lot of companies don't see this as a reason to never do it.

As for his comment at the end, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on how big a deal saying "if I do" is. But I think it's pretty far from slander.

I'd say his sense of entitlement stems from the fact that he was told by TP he was entitled to receive $25.

I'm with Bobo on this one.

True Poker does run qualifiers for the Punta Cana event. The seats are transferable (should you want to sell them to someone else) though we don't redeem them ourselves for cash value.

True Poker does still have the VIP program which you are referring to.

When are the direct qualifiers for this tourney?
Also does True Poker allow person to person transfers? I'm thinking of opening an account just to play this qualifier.

It is an unfortunate set of circumstances that happened here. I spoke with our customer service department. It was a mistake of the one of our new customer service representatives who copied an incorrect email template when requesting your documents.
We've taken steps to ensure that this sort of error does not happen again. As our customer service agent explained to you it was a human error and it's unfortunate you decided not to play with us again as a result. Pleae rest assured you will receive your cashed out funds in a timely manner.

As the Punta Cana Poker Classic kicks off on November 9th, we have only one last main even qualifier on Tuesday but satellites run for this qualifier daily. We do allow inter account transfers on verified accounts through support.

I still can't get the echeck option to work for me. I keep getting rejected and I have tried multiple bank accounts that I use at other sites to deposit/withdraw. Frustrating...I just want to try the site out.

Fair enough......He could have just meant that it might get lost in the mail.

Hi fasola, good to see another TP rep posting on the forums. Will you be forwarding our suggestions/comments concerning TP to the proper person/team? Many people would like to see the tables quite a bit larger. Also, we would like to have the number of players currently logged in displayed somewhere in the lobby . The .10-.20 NL game should be .10-.25 since the buy-in is $25. Also, there are way too many game limits. It should go 1-2, 2-4, 3-6, and then 5-10NL. I believe there is a 2-5 and a 4-8NL game, those levels should be taken out IMO. I am at work right now and can't log in, so please correct me if I am wrong about any of these issues. When I get home I will post some more ideas if it's OK with everyone. Thanks for listening!

Really? So lets say new 2 plus 2 readers of this thread are asked to send in documents to recieve checks. Based on donkey getting 25 dollars for having to send in documents shouldn't everyone be entitlted to a 25 dollar bonus? If no, why? Donkey got bonus for sending in documents why shouldn't everyone else also? Why is he special and rewarded for something that is standard and not everyone else?

Again, the rep made an obvious mistake any normal reasonable person would understand this and not say site is not honest or not trustworthy based on this incident.

X2. Also (1) 500 char or more for note files. (2) Love the auto-reload feature in the latest update, but it would be great if you could set that in preferences and not have to do it in every table (3) Being able to play more than 8 tables would be great

I've only been on TP for about a month now and I've had about 3-4 crashes already. I consider that too many as it is. My com can handle 8 tables though with regularity and I only get the occasional 3-4 crashes/month (out of about 80 hours of play. I run a intel Core i7 920@2.67G, with 9GB RAM and Radeon 4870 vid card, 64-bit OS on Windows 7.

Donkey was told in an email, apparently in error, that he would get $25. If the other readers were told the same thing, they would be just as entitled. If TP amended things so they didn't tell anyone else that, no one else would be entitled.

Much like the policy many stores have (I believe this is law in some places) that if there is an outdated sale sign left up, the sale price has to be honoured. But if my buddy gets something at a cheaper price like this and I go into the store an hour later, I don't get it for the cheaper price if they've changed the sign in the meantime, nor should I.

We definitely value your feedback and i will be passing this on to the board for review. We are in the proccess of upgrading our software and we have resizable tables as a priority. I'll pass along your comments regarding the size of the games for review as well. We appreciate your feedback and welcome any more you may have.

It's unfortunate to hear that you've had crashing issues. It does seem to effect a small group of select clients and we're working hard to fix it for our next release. We appreciate your patience and I will notify you all when the situation is remedied.

Thanks for replying with this information and i will be forwarding it onto the programmers. I spoke with them about this and they also metioned that it would be helpful if you could send us a certain file. If you can locate a file called client.dmp or dwm.dmp (it should be in the directory where client.set is) we may be able to ascertain why this is happening to you. Should you be able to find this file please send it to affiliates@truepoker.com and reference 2+2 with your nickname. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply fasola. I have been playing on TP since May of 2001. I remember the first night you guys had 300 players on at one time, the host sent out a message saying "We have hit a new milestone here at TruePoker, we currently have 300 players logged on at the same time." Anyway, glad to hear that resizing tables is in the works, please tell me we will be able to re-size while playing in 3D mode. People think I'm crazy because I love playing in 3D mode, if I wanted to play 2D I would play at a different site! Anyway, thanks for listening my friend.

NP, I'll do that when I get back to my main computer. If you guys allow for more than 160 characters for our notes files I'd be really pleased. I'd put up with a few crashes a month all year long if I could just have the space for proper notes. This is the number one most vexing thing with the TP client for me.

Thanks

I'll definitely pass the 160 max characters to the development team to put on our technical priority list. Thanks for your feedback.
