Let's continue telling the Payroll Tax Conference Committee to include online poker in their discussions. The committee needs to resolve this matter by the end of February, so the timing is perfect for us. Rumors are flying about this on all the poker forums, so let's do our part to stand up for this!
  1. Let's send the Conference Committee members + Sen. Reid & Sen. McConnell NEW tweets urging inclusion of federal online poker legislation: HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.
  2. Let's post and like pro-poker comments on the Facebook walls of Conference Committee members Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D), Rep. Renee Ellmers (R), Rep. Nan Hayworth (R) and Sen. Ben Cardin (R): HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.
  3. Let's send a NEW prefilled tweet promoting the daily action plan: HERE
Please reply in this thread with "tweeted", "done", etc. to encourage others to participate. The past 152 actions have generated triple-digit participation, so let's keep it growing. Thanks!

If you wish to do more today, let's reach out to the Senate Indian Affairs Committee membership via Facebook with respectful requests for them to support poker. Simply like the pro-poker posts and make a supportive post of your own. When commenting on preexisting lawmaker posts, please be sure the post is appropriate for pro-poker comments.

If it helps, when you start your tweet with @whomever with nothing in front of who you're sending it to, it doesn't go out to your followers (unless they follow that politician). I didn't know this for the longest time (because I was following politicians so I got other peoples' tweets to them).

  4. Rep. Charles Bass (R-NH) expressed concern at the last House Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade Subcommittee hearing on online gaming regarding the potential impact of online gaming on state lotteries. I posted my thoughts on this to his FB wall HERE. He responded that he is taking a careful look at the Barton Bill. Let's go to the post and thank Rep. Bass for responding. Thanks!
