They have requested photocopies of either a drivers license or a passport + photocopy of a bill with name and address on it. This is a first, I think.

i found a few things strange about it such as addressing me by my username and the from in my inbox showing verification@pokerstars.com instead of something like Pokerstars Verification

im pretty sure i sent this stuff in around feb before i was supernova

The email is from PokerStars, per our Isle of Man license must have KYC on all players.

All SNs that we have not gotten this info from over the last 1 year. The plan is for me to contact players 2-4 weeks from now that we don't have the info on.

ScottY thanks for verifying the authenticity. I hope this means you will still be offering games to U.S. players after December 1st. It would suck to go through the trouble of putting this together and then get booted from the site just for living in a country of hypocrite lawmakers.

It could offend the recreational players ("fish") if it is applies to lower levels.

If you've already sent the info you shouldn't need to send it in again. This is the only time we'll ask for documents unless something changes with the IOM. I would just wait if you've already sent in the docs, the worse thing that will happen is I will contact you myself saying we need them again for some reason.

We must have this info on every single RM customer. The first group we've emailed are Supernova VIPs.

- A copy of the front and back of your government issued photo ID, an example of which would be a passport or driving license.

- A copy of a recent utility bill or bank statement clearly showing your full name and address as registered.

You may provide the requested documentation by email, to verification@pokerstars.com, in the form of either a scanned copy or a clear digital image.

What happens to players who don't have any utilities in their name, receive bank statements electronically, have their bank accounts registered to an address in a country different than the one that they currently reside in, and don't really have any decent method to receive mail in the country that they currently reside in?
