Well.. like I said before, waiting for the .exe snapshot (and just follow an easy install wizard) will be the easiest way

But for the source..

That tutorial looks way more complicated then it is. Basically it's just downloading Python + dependencies and installing them. All of these files are in the .txt with direct download URLs, then open them, click 3x "next" and go to the next one. With step 3 you can just download the .zip on https://github.com/ChazDazzle/fpdb-chaz/ instead of installing GIT. Most trickiest part might be setting the PATH environment for Python but Google is full of tutorials for that.

If you have specific questions, just ask

that 1bb table is so sick! please make it for higher stakes!

sorry guys i thought it was easy on windows as well, but nico is right, you need to add the python folder to your PATH and install dependencies (https://github.com/ChazDazzle/fpdb-c...ghPython27.txt)

also there are bugs in the converter so i'll try to fix those

I had to follow step 1 - 5 on: https://github.com/ChazDazzle/fpdb-c...ghPython27.txt , add some things in XML config and then just run the run_fpdb.py

Thanks piranoust
what xml changes did you make followed instructions not working for me.

I installed on the packages and added the python directory to the system path variable. When I try to run it it pops on the command prompt and closes quickly.

piranoust - Ok looks like i found the problem i had both the 32 and 64 versions of python installed and they were in conflict when I removed the 64 bit version it fixed the problem

can you try renaming HUD_config.xml.example into HUD_config.xml (in the pyfpdb folder) and then reimporting the faulty files to see if it works now
if it doesn't work, try to copy this HUD_config.xml file into C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\fpdb (there should be another HUD_config.xml file here right?)

Attention everyone trying to install fpdb from source, if you can wait till Wednesday, we'll have a windows installer for you ready to go.

FPDB only supports cash games. We're unable to add tournaments until Seals starts writing a tournament ID in their hand histories.

When I signed up for SWC I knew they allowed multi-accounting and that it was the "wild wild west of poker", but I guess I never realized how prevalent scamming the system is with the lax enforcement.

Not only has it been left completely up to the players to report it, but the kickback on confiscated funds doesn't seem to spread equally back to the players.

As much as I have enjoyed SWC, I'm afraid I am back to playing more on Bovada and trying out Poker Dominicano until I see some effort made by seals admin to step up their monitoring and bust some of the unfair play on their own.

i've been playing on SWC a while and have never been concerned with multi-accounting.

be careful with Poker Dominicano, they are probably a scam. they are LTE Poker reincarnated imo.

It doesn't make sense to give confiscated funds evenly to all players. We give them in proportion to how much play happened between players weighted by stakes. We also think this is more appropriate that giving only to losers because a lowered win caused collusion is just as much of a loss.

Closing accounts and taking funds is very serious and it takes time to do carefully.

Thanks.

So Seals... any chance we can have tournament IDs in the hand histories ?

What if anything is swc doing to combat the colluders?
Is the play being monitored by anyone?

It seems the only time any action is taken is when players flat out catch someone themselves and report it to the admin.

I realize swc markets the "wild west" moto but ffs flat out allowing multi accounting and collusion is going to drive every regular player away.

Make sure you upgrade to the latest version.

Has SWC considered using Anonymous nicknames? I think Traffic/action would increase quite a bit.

All nicknames are anonymous on Seals.

We do appreciate reports of suspicious behavior.

We also watch on our own and we're gaining knowledge and tools to deal with these problems more efficiently.

It isn't fair to say that players 'catch' colluders before us. Players also 'catch' many innocent players.

We cannot afford to make any mistakes, but any player can make any accusation they want instantly and with no risk.
