'Hearing' about something..and reality are two different things typically.

I've deposited and withdrawn using Scotiabank without any problems using instadebit.

ukash is pretty good....you can get them at gas stations. they have a website to find locations near you.
make up is still cheaper than using western union as well

They already mentioned "InstaDebit" is an option to use your debit card.

What is InstaDebit?

That should be typed into Google.

LOL, I don't think ANY of the poker sites are setup to do direct transfers between banks and poker sites themselves. In every case I can think of, it is handled thru a payment processor.

This guy might have worked at Scotia, but I know for a fact that transfers between ScotiaBank---->Instadebit----->Full Tilt work just fine, as well as the reverse.

I'm not going to explain everything about instadebit when you can easily look it up yourself under full tilt's list of payment processors. I don't know if instadebit is offered by other sites.

If your Canadian, and play on FTP, then instadebit is one of the best ways to go I think.

This comes up again and again with Canadian banks, the bigger banks are getting fussy about poker sites even though it's completely legal. My answer is always just get a credit union account. Or a prepaid card from money mart.

what's wrong with Moneybookers? I used them while i stayed in canada, never had a problem. Had it linked to a TD canada trust acct, wired money from MB to acct. once a week, no hassles.

Esso is the local station i get them from...if the person doesnt know how to do it just tell them to go to the machine for prepay calling cards, its under the other portion.

i also was trying to say mark up not make up....its fees are like 7 bucks on 150.

TD was not allowing me to upload funds to Moneybookers a while back, so I went with my Vancity credit union account and had no problems.

ffs, just open an instadebit account.

It's like transferring cash from your checking account to the site (and back on the off chance you're a winner) but with an intermediate step.

What intermediate step? INSTADEBIT

Email the deposit assistance department (dad@pokerstars.com) and they will walk you through every option available. Include your phone number and they'll even call you.
