I could not imagine that anyone else would allow themselves to be scammed by such a high-profile scammer; and this thread, with his name in the title, with regular updates of his repayments to those he had scammed, fooled me into thinking he would repay completely those from whom he had stolen.

I apologise to all for my errors of judgement in this regard.

This thread has served a good purpose and I believed it helped some of the people originally scammed claw back much of their money albeit at a snails pace. It also served as a warning to other people contemplating trades. However, I do think it was allowed to just go on too long in the end and RW was getting some kind of kick out of it.

It's unfortunate that people got scammed but the latest victim has nobody but himself to blame. It does show how scammers get away with things though when there are such gullible people around who take almost zero precautions before parting with their money.

IMO you have nothing to be sorry about. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but as far as I can tell you do more than anybody to help people from getting scammed.

Why are you wanting a PM about why this thread is being kept open though? I may be mistaken but you weren't involved at all were you?

IMO I think the decision should be it left up to those still owed money and of course the mods discretion. Perhaps it could be closed and reopened upon the request of someone directly involved if any updates do arise?
