A friend of mine deposited money on pokerstars when they were 16-17 and wants to withdraw some of their winnings now that they're 18. Does pokerstars ask for ID verification on withdraws? Anyone cross-referencing the ID with the date of birth on sign-up (now 22) could easily see that they were playing real-money games when under 18. The withdraw amount is ~$400 and it would most likely be through skrill/moneybookers.

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

You should trade the funds off instead.
