Do you think pokerstars can seriously get 50k entrants for this tourney? Number seems super high for a $215 tourney

They got 59k runners in March. Even without the USA players they can easily do it.

yes they most likely will. i will be surprised if they are wrong. they have a pretty good idea of how many people they will get for any of their tournaments.

Friend told me they had a $1 $300k guarantee which only made 150k once. Its also possible for their 10th anniversary they decided to put a bit of extra value in for their players?

maybe pokerstars are catching upto the live scene and introducing tournaments that allow players to bust out and re-enter as many times as they like before a certain level

not really

you cannot rebuy straight away to double your stack
you cannot add-on
when you do bust out, you are asigned to a new seat and table at randow, as if you were entering fresh, unlike a rebuy where you stay where you were

obviously not all winners choose to take their $215 ticket to the tourney, but they run a ludicrous amount of satellites. Stars will hit the guarantee for sure
