Hey everyone, longtime lurker here. I'm having a real problem with PS. I'm a casual player. Winning some here, losing some there.

Logged in 2 days ago, it prompted me as to needing install an update. Fine, whatever. Done. I had just been playing the night before with absolutely no issues.

So after the "update", the client crashed about 10 minutes into gameplay. No lag, not the slow to load/close problem associated with the XML notes file. It literally just crashed. Weird, but maybe it was my computer. Opened up PS again, logged in, and played for a few more minutes. Crash again. Okay, that was annoying as I had just been dealt AK (suited no less!)

Went to open it up again and it then began crashing right after I logged in. Now occaisionally it will let me log in, but only for a few minutes then BAM back to crash. This cycle keeps repeating itself.

I have deleted that damned XML file, uninstalled and reinstalled Pokerstars about 10 times, sent my files to PS support (who have been not much help at all).

PS support's response was laughable, "we're aware of this problem and are working to fix it in a future update." Gee whiz, thanks guys. Everything ran fine before this last update.

I don't use the notes function within the client, so that file size isn't the issue.

MacBook Pro, 2.4 GHz, 2GB Ram
Mac OSX 10.5.3
PS Software: 3.413
Server Version 916

Is anyone else having this issue? Help a brother out, as a casual player I am waiting to give you my money!

i didnt really read but my pokerstars is definetly crashing more and more for some reason also

and i think it updated like 2 times this week already

i'm having the same problem with the macbook but haven't figured it out yet... mine opens for about a minute and then crashes immediately.

confirm that i've been having lots of problems with the stars client after the new update as well

obv MacBook brag ;-)

I've been having this problem for close to a week now (since last update) and it's getting worse. After I sign in my password it's fine for a minute, but as soon as I click on a table it freezes. The Task Bar on top with the Options, Help, Account etc.. turns white and it makes my computer lag like hell. Sometimes after about 2-3 mins. it will stop and let me play, but other times it will make my computer crash and I'll have to hold down the power button to shut it down. There's even times when I click on tables that aren't full, when the table comes up all the empty seats have the "R" on it as if its being reserved.

I to have written a letter to PS and sent them the info they asked for, however nothing has been done. I wrote them Sat. night and they said they were looking into it.

Has anyone found any problems with the software or found out why this is happening? I'm having problems with mine 4/5 times that I try to get on an play, and at this rate I'll have to move over to FT and I don't really want too.
