Hmm strange, I just logged into stars for the first time since 3 month to check out what´s going on with the whole panic button thing. Turns out that I don´t have a 24 h button on the poker table itself, only got one at the Lobby (using Hyper Simple Theme)

I have unintentionally MISCLICKED this thing THREE TIMES now over the course of a few Thousand MTTs. It is literally impossible to continuously dodge this stupid thing when the Screen is full with different Windows opening up, taking Focus etc.

By now i have lost an estimated 500$ due to this ridiculous flaw in Design. I got a "goodwill" refund - 16.50$. ONE of the many MTT Buyins i lost because of this ****.

Immediately after the Misclick I get logged out and receive 2 E-Mails - One informing me that my wish for a 24hr-Cooloff Period is granted claiming that it will be auto reenabled after those 24hrs - And a second Mail informing me, that my Account is now under review and prompting me to supply Infos on wether or not I have multiple Accounts and other generic Security/Game-Integrity Stuff.

After 24hrs pass i get another Mail that my Account is now ready to use. So i try to login but its not possible - "Your Account is Frozen - Contact Support ...." - "Well lets speak with Live Support then, right? Shouldnt take longer than a couple minutes clearing this up....." Well Bullshit since Live-Support is only available from your logged-in Account. Without currently valid Login you can write an E-Mail and thats it. To top it off the E-Mail Support takes roughly anywhere from 2 days to in some documented cases several Weeks. So i went from a Misclick based on shitty Design to a forced, unwanted 24hr Banperiod to an unknown amount of days waiting and begging some E-Mail Adress for Help. THREE. TIMES. WHAT. THE. ****.

And then they act like they have nothing to do with it and present a roughly 5-10% refund as act of customer appreciation and gratitude.

Literally the absolute worst experience with any kind of company i have ever had.
Quick follow up:

It took some time but I actually had my lost MTT buyins refunded and also the lost rakeback from my rakeback challenge - felt obligated to share.

Seems like with the latest update they changed the design and size of the button (on the tables), and implemented a popup that's warning you of what it is. The position on the table is still the same, though. And still no slider or other safer button design, so missclicks will still happen.

Thats brutal. I would blame the german regulators more than Stars though.

Stars has an option to suspend future real money transactions without kicking the player from the games they already in. I would think they would use this option instead if the regulators allowed it

Yes, the regulations are obviously moronic but the implementation by Pokerstars is horrendous. Partypoker solved it much better, with the button clearly separated from the action.

Unreal - just happened again after 20 min of playing and being super careful. Pretty sure I was not near the button when it happened. Bye bye Stars - anyway long overdue

Stars should take a look at Run It Once Poker, how excellent the solved this shitty panic button regulation.
