Last night I checked my e-mails and saw a number of cash prizes had been purchased from the VIP store, I never made these transactions so went to log in and was told my account was frozen. I have e-mailed the company but as of yet they haven't got back to me. Now there wasn't much money in my account thankfully I had made a withdrawal a few days earlier but I had a lot of FPP points. So has this happened to anyone else and if so whats the likelihood of getting my money and points back?

Thanks in advance

Stay on them. If the activity is out of the ordinary and the money "purchased" was transferred or dumped to one person it should be easy to identify and reverse.

Well I certainly didn't make these transactions so someone did, nobody else has access to my account and I had another e-mail prior to the purchases from their security asking about a new device being used.

You don't need no stinking security token to make your Pokerstars account safe.
1) Strong password for the poker client (ldo)
2) Use a dedicated unguessable e-mail address (e.g. g3ldqihqso23qqmj@gmail.com), that you don't use for anything else but receive Pokerstars e-mails and communicate with Pokerstars support.

Anyone who has their Pokerstars account linked to their personal e-mail account is lazy and careless.

+1... and DON'T use the same password for the email account and poker account, or anything else for that matter. Make the passwords for both accounts completely unique.

OP, have you thoroughly checked your computer? Also, when you get access to your account, you should change the password from a different computer.

Almost every one of these threads end up with no evidence that the compromise was on the poker site's side.

Changing thread title until we have evidence of how your account was hacked.
