PokerHost [Closing July 31 2018] - Page 24 - Internet Poker

I downloaded Poker host this afternoon and deposited $50. I played for a bit and was up a little over a hundred bucks. I looked at my bank statement and seen I was charged twice. No big deal I thought! I call them and they say I need to send a copy of bank statement and they will reimburse the second charge. So I get all that and then try to log in and am told my acct has been locked for security reasons!! I explain the situation and lady says they lock acct in case I try and charge it back. I understand about the second charge, but my first charge/deposit went thru and I doubled the amount already anyways so why am I not allowed to at least play that??!! The customer service rep then became very rude and irritated and hung up on me! I proceed to call back and am told my acct is banned. They stole over a hundred dollars from me! I told the lady I would be on 2plus2 and pocket fives slandering and badmouthing Pokerhost as much as possible. The customer rep started laughing and said go for it, I wont be the first or last! I have been playing online since 2006 and have never had a problem like this. Long story short Pokerhost stole a $100 from me and told me to go **** myself lol!! Good Game Poker host

this does not surprise me at all.

Correct. The network resticts new accounts from NY based on zip code. Existing accounts are often grandfathered in. That said, PokerHost accepts slightly different states and countries than Merge because they use a different cashier (much of this is one's interpretation of legality in certain jurisdictions).

PokerHost has chosen not to accept ANY players from NY.

is it just me or is the software crashing for people?

30 minutes into play and it has crashed on me 3 times

can't hoover my mouse over the tables, and everything freezes up

really weird for me over the past week, All my Host tables will start lagging, I will hear the sound beeping telling me its my turn but everything freezes for 5-10 seconds then comes back and catches up. Whenever this happens, all my other sites tables etc work fine.

There was an update a few days ago. Everyone uses the same client with different graphics inside. Perhaps an uninstall / then reboot / then reinstall is in order. This has been known to fix merge client issues before. If that fails, check the C/A forum to see if others are experiencing the same issues....

just looked at the maximus schedule on poker host and event 9 seems to be missing.

talked to live chat and the person seemed to be surprised it wasn't on there since it starts in 2 days

Kinda thought it was weird since I opened up carbon and event 9 was on the schedule but not on pokerhost..Hopefully they can get it straightened out before Sunday

Also, can anyone confirm that merge is going to leave the regular Sunday tourneys on the schedule for this Sunday? They usually pull all those when they do maximus

Once again I spoke to PokerHost. They are offering 100% of the PokerMaximus series and are not sure why some events disappeared overnight. They are asking Merge to fix it ASAP.

Just to confirm before I make my first deposit: Do pokerhost support HEM? Will I need any additional software [such as a handgrabber]? Does the HUD work?

yeah it supports HEM

I don't understand why Host just opts out of tournies seemingly at random. The 75r for example hasn't been there for a few days but I know it's running on Carbon at least, and it's running tonight on Host.

Also on the schedule it shows the standard sunday 150k 33 35k etc tournies in addition to the PM events. I'm not complaining about this one but is it real?

Host doesn't opt out randomly. There are rhymes and reasons. I've been able to get a number of tournaments reinstated by lobbying them but I have to make a case for each incident. This is difficult for me because I can not possibly keep up with which MTTs are and are not offered. I've asked for help before ITT and I shall do so again... If you want to help keep track of what is missing and communicate it to me privately, I'll go about trying to fix it.

Why do some tournaments disappear on PokerHost? Today's 3k Deep $33 at 10AM PST is not showing up but then I got an overlay alert about it and when I clicked on it the lobby came up showing people registered but when I tried to register it says "You do not have access to register for this tournament." Any idea why?

What do you mean charged both ways? If you rec a transfer, you have a 7.5x play-through requirement before you can cash out those funds. If someone else rec a transfer, same story.
