If you mean the weather with the "nice," they are generally segregated, taxed or has a catch to it in cases. Take a look into Pokerstars(.com) player pool and raketherake (countries the sites accept) and you get an idea.

Greece has the good side that it isn't segregated; the taxes are another issue (high) and they often sign into tourneys with their winnings trying to avoid the tax but I don't know how well it works.

Malta is sort of perfect and has a small tax as far as I know in case the visitors pay, e.g. the first year doesn't necessarily pay but that's a national law that might not apply here and it is also about where one dominantly is (a Malta thread: Other Topics > Travel).

Romania doesn't have a high tax, I think (cut off the winnings perhaps) and Bulgaria is possible. But maybe only Stars is there but I don't know at all. These countries do not have a great winter, though it isn't all great at a lot of Mediterranean places either.

Ireland rates tax-free and available for many sites but not sure if the sites are taxed that much that it cuts off the rewards. Finland isn't regulated and the EU winnings are tax-free (the rest is income tax).

Right now our fovourite would be Greece. Does anybody know about online gambling regulations in Greece?
We need access on Pokerstars, Partypoker and Winamax.
Do you know if that is possible in Greece and if there are any additional taxes on Pokerwinnings if you play from Greece (even if you are not a greek Citizen or Resident)?

I´d appreciate some help

Cheerz!

Confirmed the nut worst country for taxes, IF you are a Resident in Greece.

If you just visiting Greece and play at Pokerstars, NO additional taxes will be paid. (You can confirm it with pokerstars support also)

If you play at pokerstars from a Greek IP you participate in the .eu/.com player pool. No segregation.

Partypoker and Winamax are not officially accessible from Greece. They do not have a license to operate here.

Making a bunch of implied assumptions about what you seem to want to be doing, you can't do what you want.

You could always contact the site concerned and ask their guidance, since you need to follow their rules. Enjoy the Greek weather, forget about online poker.

But if you do get on, don't forget to register for the Million several days in advance!

That’s really all I want to do I have no desire to grind online poker on vacation. I wanted to play the million and maybe some smaller tournaments one Sunday.

So I completed and verified my account on PokerStars.es since I'm currently in Spain for a time. In the process of trying to get the hud setup on .es I logged on to the regular stars account and opened a table to see if the hud was working. To my surprise there was no popup or anything, and I could just play as normal. Should I be worried that this will cause some repercussions? Is it ill-advised to keep playing as long as it's working?

This is a noob question. I am a noob.

I enjoyed playing online poker in the UK, was never great and lost more than I won.

I moved to Spain and want to play online but hassling with the proxy is a ball ache. Mi Espanol es muy mal but are there any legitamate Spanish sites I can play on with no proxy? I don't need to chat in English, I just want to play.

I have a Spanish bank account that I can use to fund my account.

I have googled and I have looked but I guess the question is, which site is best or offers the most options in Spain?

Old thread but CoinPoker accepts global players because it's a crypto poker site

I grinded there when I was in Spain

The regulated sites as well as the live casinos take 20 % from the winnings above 100 usd and funnel it to the tax pot.

Like that poker is not really beatable here.

Apart from Coinpoker, which sites do you people play from Greece?

Spent a semester in Madrid a few years back and played on PokerStars.es the whole time without any issues, registration was straightforward with a local address. Barcelona should be fine for most European-licensed sites. For internet, a local SIM with data from Vodafone Spain or Orange was way more reliable and cheaper than any roaming card from back home.

Spent a semester in Madrid a few years back and played on PokerStars.es the whole time with no issues using a local address. Getting a prepaid SIM with data from Vodafone or Movistar was way cheaper than any travel card and I had solid enough connection to multi-table. Just watch out for peak evening hours in shared apartments, connection would get shaky on my old place.
