playing international poker from us playing international poker from us

Hi guys,

Was hoping I could get a bit of advice on opening an international account in order to play poker online - sorry if this has already been answered.

Background: currently studying abroad in UK until june. Go to school, and live, in the US. I have dual citizenship in the UK and US. I have grandparents and relatives that I can use as an address in the UK (or can i not do that?).

I would like to be able to play online poker here in the UK currently and back in the US when I get home.

I was thinking maybe opening a UK bank account and then registering it to paypal and then just using that to play poker. But once I access that account from the US would red flags go up and maybe the account would be frozen?

Would it be better off to open an international account, but would the same apply - could I not open/withdraw from it in the US?

Any advice is appreciated thanks!

Doesn't matter because you won't be able to access the international sites from the U.S. regardless of where your bank/paypal is based.

Oh that's a shame thanks for the help.

Would it be possible to open up a UK account and just play online when I'm here? and withdraw the money in cash/transfer it to my US account before I go back home?

I wouldn't mind having a bank account in the UK as well, but obviously I would barely be using it except for when I am in the uk/abroad; would it be a problem to have gaps of account usage ranging from 6 months to a year?

it's a trap

Sorry, we don't allow threads about how to circumvent sites' T&Cs.

You could play while in the UK, but not from the USA.

Your best bet would be to do that, collect your money in the UK, and bank wire it to yourself in the USA. Keeping unused funds in a bank depends on the bank... some charge service fees, others do not... specially if you stay above a minimum balance threshold. You'd have to check with each individual institution.
