Party Poker Bonus's Dishonourable Party Poker Bonus's Dishonourable

Hi All,

just want to let you know of Party Pokers underhanded tactics when it comes to bonus releasing. I have attached an email (below) that was sent back and forward today arguing what I believe to be my CORRECT positon on bonus release. I would advise not to deal with a site that won't honour their own "Terms and Conditions"

Cheers
Email was as follows

Well I doubt this will change anything, and you obviously don't have a complaints resolution section, but my point of argument is,

I do notice that that line has been placed at the end of the for mentioned page. https://secure.partyaccount.com/faq/...sClub.htm#q711

It is listed on the end of a FAQ page, which does not make up a part of your terms and conditions.

And your terms and conditions at no time state that the FAQ's form part of the T&C.

And you use the term "good faith" in your previous email, what about some good faith for your customers, the ones that keep you employed.

I don't wish to argue this further, but I will be taking my business elsewhere and also post this email on every poker site that I am able. I will let people judge for themselves, what sort of underhanded and dishonest tactics that Party Poker Uses, to short change the public. We have contested $50, I am leaving you knowing that I will now cost you far more than that!

Please close my account. Your site is dishonest, dishonourable, and I don't wish to support Party Poker any further.

Dear James,

Please note that bonus Points are awarded in good faith to be used at
our Party Points store, however, it is clearly mentioned in the link
provided below, that such Points do not count towards the release
criteria of any of our current offered bonuses as only standard Party
Points are counted:

Hello

I had a look at your site, and didn't see it noted on the bonus
conditions that it was standard points only.

I only played and put money into my account on the condition that it
was
300 PP as it is listed on you release conditions. The rake that I
have
paid is well and truly over the $50, close to $300.

So I would to request you release this bonus, as I played as I believed

your site advertised.

If you don't feel the need to release this bonus, I will take my
business(although small) somewhere that is straight forward in their
advertising.

Regards

James

Dear James,

Thank you for contacting Customer Service.

The 996.15 PartyPoints is the number of PartyPoints you have
accumulated
from the day you opened a Real Money account with us. The PartyPoints

earnings for the release of the bonus started on the day the bonus is

issued to your account. In this case, the bonus in your account was

awarded on the 27-DEC-2007 at 20:06:36 ET, that is when the
PartyPoints
starts counting.

I would also like to inform you only Standard PartyPoints counts
towards
the release of any bonus. As you are now in our Queens category,
whatever PartyPoints you earned, PartyPoker will give you 1 Bonus
PartyPoints however, the Bonus PartyPoints does not count towards any

bonus release.

Having checked your bonus details, I see you have earned 253.2 Standard

PartyPoints for the release of the active bonus in your account. You
are
still required to earn the remaining 46.8 Standard PartyPoints by
10-JAN-2008 at 23:59:59 ET.

To see the pending bonus in your account, simply follow the steps
below:

1) Click on 'My Account' from the Lobby to take you to your
PartyAccount
page
2) Select 'Balance and Bonuses' to bring the drop down menu
3) Click on 'Bonus details' from the drop down menu
4) Click on the name of Bonus Code and a pop up will appear and this

will inform you of how many PartyPoints are still on pending.

Thank you for choosing us as your online gaming site.

This is my query,

When I applied for the bonus,

I had around 480 points, I now have over 900.

Why would this bonus not have been released. Why is there still 43
more
points for the bonus to release?

Cheers

Jim

Is sounds pretty standard to me. I don't really think you have a case for arguement.

That being said, you definately have the right to take your business wherever you choose. I don't know why you wouldn't play the 40-odd points and get your 50 bucks before they close your account. Is Party still a fishtank?

In all this time you spent complaining, you could have simply earned 47 party points (which is like 6 tabling 100NL for 1 hour I think). The bonus status could be viewed on their website so I'm confused how you didn't know your own bonus status. I think your argument is a joke, and am personally curious if you lost all your money and don't have the funds to complete the required hands now.

Also how do you fail to earn 300 Party Points in 15 days. Weak....

People get confused on Stars also.
They get all twisted around between the difference for FPP's, VPP's and Base FPP's which is what they use for clearing bonuses.
Party doesn't appear to do this any differently although perhaps they make it a bit less clear.
This isn't unusual for Party though. Some of their promotions in the past have been worded very badly or have been extremely difficult to interpret. To the extent that sometimes PArty says one thing when, in fact, they mean another and only the fact that they've had that promotion before with equally bad language are people able to translate the party-ese into normal English.

This is a pretty petty one to get so upset about. Now you know for future bonuses. Just finish off the next 40 points or whatever and get your money. No big deal.

Not to smart IMO

Party makes their bonus's easy to clear

I remember many times if I didnt play for a few months there would be a magical new $50 in my account

There are a lot of other low life Poker Sites to complain about, Party isnt one of them

QFT. The bonuses mind are a lot harder now since they moved away from simple raked hands. They also don;t update the points in running, so you have no idea where you are until you close a table down, the points then accrue to your account. Still, the OP seems a bit OTT.

I made the same mistake as OP as I went for the 250 dollar bonus.

I didn't know that it was only standard points. I thought I had cleared the bonus, but instead it got expired.
I asked Party why I didn't get the bonus, and it was explained to me by my Party-VIP-guy that it was only standard points and that I wasn't even halfway with clearing it.

As a token of good will, he paid me almost 100 dollars!
Wow, Party, great job!
Long live the Party-VIP-guy!

At least the new Party Point system means it's possible for tournament players to clear the bonus (unlike the old "raked-hands" bonuses).

I had a similar misunderstanding as I too was confused by this separation of Standard Points, and Bonus Points. I do know I wouldn't have decided not to play there anymore, just because of this. I think that's taking your misunderstanding way too far. Think anger management, dude, anger management.
