Good call!

He stole my money and lost it all playing HU SnG's like the piece of **** he is. No updates from anyone at Lock (big surprise) about getting any sort of assistance.

I'm considering my money gone and my playing history at Lock to be over. They clearly could not give less of a **** about any of us.

I PM'd Shane and Rizen 3 times on 3 different days - not a single response. Awesome customer service.

Yesterday I was contacted by 2plus2 member HulkHogan asking to trade his $50-$100 gdmp for my Intertops. I decided to decline offer.

Also done a bunch of transfers @ the sbrforums where i have been mainly posting as i am more of a sports bettor now since black friday.

thanks,

Jeff
He has no documented history of trades or deals in the marketplace that I could find.

And now he is trying to trade 1k on Intertops.

I suppose this guy could be completely honest, just figured I should post what I know.

Make of it what you will.

I live in the U.S. and I'm about to purchase a boat for 15k. Is it legal to have the person I trade my online funds with wire the 15k directly to the person I'm buying the boat from, or would this be considered laundering?

If you can prove the money is yours, legitimately, I don't think it can be called laundering.

It's blatant tax evasion if this is from poker winnings that you are not reporting.

Carbon Chris and Carbon Ryan,

I got scammed by a player named fatboy124 by posting on pokerwallets. He seemed legit and talked about Carbon Chris a lot and said he even requested my document approval get finished faster. He told me he got a message that my approval was almost done and it was. He said he was AUGUY55 on 2p2 and I checked the verifiable transfers. He told me could only do up to 200 on from Carbon to Bovada which was another good move by him, sounded legit. The guy was smooth. I am begging for you to request the player transfer to be reversed. I requested the reverse from Carbon Poker for $50.00 and told them I would never do a transfer again. Please help!

I haven't been on Bovada since it was Bodog. I didn't do my due dilligence. Anyone live in the Georgia area? I have the guys address.

re fatboy124 scam

The above was undeleted and moved.
Serial scammers lurk here and on other sites.

AUGUY55 on 2p2 WAS NOT A PART OF THIS SCAM.

See the posts starting HERE.

Correct. It's tax evasion but not money laundering. It's only laundering when the money originates from an illegal source.

So I guess that could be true in some part of the US that have banned online poker ...

Do not trade with GTM13!!
(aka: legendary33 on Carbon; GaryG9876 on Skype)
Just send a email to carbon as fast you can because the cash is locked for 4 days and cannot be taken out or send to other person. Only if used in tables.
And see if you can get anything back.

Did you check the refs of him and all the info needed , before you started trading?

Thanks megawarrior. I emailed Carbon.

GTM13 had some smaller trades that looked legit here and on PocketFives. He looked and sounded pretty trustworthy. But today i looked up legendary33 on SharkScope and he has only played one game. So that is a red flag. But i couldn't find anything else to make me doubt him.

Any other suggestions?

PTR for legendary33 has only been tracked since Jun 27.

You could try contacting rep in carbon forum.

I recently signed up for Chase QuickPay and linked it to a non-Chase account, has anyone ever had problems with this?

If I try a trade with someone does the person I trade with HAVE to have a Chase Checking account in order for it to work?

I did this and do not have a Chase account and did not have a problem receiving. However, the answer to your question is yes, the person you trade with must have a Chase checking account.

From Chase FAQ:

Do I need to be a Chase customer?
No. As long as you have a valid e-mail address, you can create a Chase QuickPay profile to send and receive money. Simply register your Chase checking account or a checking or savings account you have with any other U.S. bank and send money to your recipient. We'll coordinate the direct transfer between banks—without any cost to you.

Note: If you’re using a non-Chase checking account for Chase QuickPay, you won’t be able to accept payments from other users who also want to send and receive funds using non-Chase accounts. At least one of the accounts in the requested payment (either the sender or the recipient) must be a Chase checking account.

I think these days pokerwallets is more fraud trades then real trades.

It has been a tremendous source of scammers in the past, I thought it was dead by now

Do people not want intertops over lock right now? I realize they are on the same network, but lock has better promotions so I guess that has something to do with it? Thanks

Incorrect... money laundering can also be when you misrepresent what you are doing with the money.

For example: Saying you are selling t-shirts when in reality you are playing poker at the casino.

It's just that most of the time people launder money because it is coming from an illegal source.

As far as i know, GTM13 has not responded to communication from me, 2+2 moderators, nor Carbon security. Carbon security investigated; i sent them the Skype chat log of my conversation with GTM13; then, yesterday, they refunded my transfer to him. As far as i'm concerned, this issue is resolved.

Try emailing cake support. They will be able to answer if you can or cannot transfer.
