Thanks Rainbow.

+1 to Rusemandingo. As a new user looking to sell merge money this is exactly the type of idea that would be immensely helpful.

Do you have proof that he ever sent funds? i.e. screenshot, etc.?

I was PM'ed by him a couple nights ago, but I did not respond to his trade offer, because I saw that he was accused of trying to scam in the past. Rainbow Warrior said that he should not be traded with.

GL with this, mate. I sincerely hope that he is being honest with you.

For an American is it legal to receive a bank xfer in exchange for poker funds.

My girlfriend sat me down for a "talk" because she was very worried that me receiving funds in my bank account from some poker player would get me in trouble with the authorities. She was asking how is it any different than laundring.

Any opinions?

Money laundering is changing illegally obtained money into what looks like legitimate money.

I suppose the guy depositing into your bank could be sending you money he has made from selling weed or something, and trying to get your good money into his account on a poker site, but I would doubt that if he was busted the police would come after you unless the number of times and the amounts you transferred made it look like you might have been his partner in crime.

Of course, as usual, keep all PMs, e-mails and chat logs for a long time.

Itd also be nice cause youd need to have MP approval to start one of those threads. Also, having all these traders' threads next to eachother with vig %s and complete trading history ITT would make it easy for the sellers.
This really sounds like a great idea, and I know someone put up a similar "banking" thread a few months back in the Marketplace, but it was closed by a mod.

I owe 2249997 $100 for a transfer he also made to my Minted.

I will not be playing online poker anymore, I can't win. I will be receiving rakeback next Tuesday, and whatever I get will be used to pay these two people back. Whatever my rakeback does not cover, I will send another form of payment.

I am sorry, but gambling seems to have gotten the best of me, and I will make good on my debts. Hoopaloopa, please don't lose faith in everyone because of me. 2249997, I apologize.

When next Tuesday arrives, in the late afternoon, I will get in touch with these two people using someone else's 2plus2 account and I will pay my debts. I will be requesting a self-ban immediately after writing this.
gee, I sure do see that "alleged scams by amaterasu" thread in a different light now...

you were so indignant. un****ing real.

Liberty Reserve is an online wallet simililar to Paypal, Moneybookers and a host of others.

A cursory review of their site indicates that the sender can have multiple LR accounts and complete anonymity. That bothers me.

On the other hand, payments cannot be reversed, and funding gaming sites is allowed. That's a plus.

As such, I surmise that it and other E-wallets could be permitted here, but it will be best answered after careful consideration of the risks and benefits of each site.

MH, I noticed you sent some kind of warning to the "regulars" in buying Merge funds. Does this mean they are not allowed to trade any more in the thread?

I don't think I did.

Okay. I think I misunderstood that exchange you had with Joroy. Considering it's taking Merge like 7 weeks to process a check and the Lock casino has been sitting on my cashout for 3 months (and counting), it would really suck if any trading options are taken away. But i understand the position 2+2 is in.

Nah u can't transfer I have a long story to tell but won't bore you with the full version. Basically, I left the US after BF. I rolled myself on Bodog again and now they won't wire out my money with the options that I gave them. So I need to start playing on stars ASAP but don't have the ability to deposit yet because of the country I'm in and lack of documentation atm. So, I don't know about a bank transfer yet because I have a pending withdrawal and want to keep a roll in there also but have to wait to see how everything pans out. I'll PM you in a month or less though, if none of these wire goes through then I'll be interested in a bank transfer

They told me they wouldn't wire to a USD account (even if it's outside US). Is that the same thing you had an issue with?

nah this is what I'm getting:

We appreciate that you have sent us your banking details; however, because the information is related to a Commercial Bank we are unable to have it registered to your Bodog account. So that we may process your withdrawal, we kindly ask that you provide us with different account details for another bank. Once we have received these details we would gladly have them registered and proceed with your withdrawal accordingly.

So I proceeded to provide them with two different Bolivian banking details and they're telling me I NEED an IBAN and Sort Code. The banks out here and Wells Fargo (my american bank) all tell me those numbers aren't necessary only the swift and routing number are. None of these banks use IBAN's and Sort Codes. I don't know wtf bodog is needing right now.

Their customer service is very responsive but the wiring is definitely an issue atm. I'm almost completely out of money in a god damn foreign country all because I was trying to get my FTP money out to begin with. I'll keep you updated if you want, but this has been going on for the past 2months now.

Its funny how depositing with my card wasn't an issue but taking money out now is.

^ Yeah, they definitely need an IBAN. The difference between US and other places is that we have two numbers: account # & routing #. In other countries they don't have a "routing #", but I believe the SWIFT and sort code take the place of that.

What I'm curious about is what is a "commercial bank"? I assume a commercial bank is something like PayPal or Skrill, and they want a bank that has a physical presence and savings accounts.

they're considering Wells Fargo a trade and commercial bank, whatever that is. WF is pretty huge in the US so I dunno wtf they're having trouble with. The bank I used out here is the second largest in the country also and functions outside of the country as well.

Well, they'll never get one since Bolivia doesn't use them...it's primarily a European thing, and only one South American country uses it.
