I live near Ogden and naper blvd.
I've played on Merge before using sportsbook.com
I am a little cautious though please understand, because usually people desperate to transfer funds ASAP is a little red flag. Can we meet up at like a mcdonalds or library or somewhere with internet so i can watch you log into your account? I just wanna make sure you havent made a recent CC or received a recent P2P transfer from the past few days, as these methods can sometimes be reversed.
I am not accusing you of anything, I'm just trying to be careful. I do have couple thousand dollars in trades in this thread too BTW for what it's worth
After I told him I'd meet him in a bank or the a public place with wifi he then changed his entire reasoning to now looking for another site after I specifically listed LOCK poker money in the first place. He might change his reasoning/mind with you too so beware.
Getting into an argument or debate in this thread is bad. It looks bad...for everyone involved. But I am compelled to defend myself against this guy. I am also very angry that I even need to, but this guy (puffpuff Join Date: Sep 2011 Posts: 17) decided to post a “warning” about how I might “waste your time” within this thread.
Let me give the full details of our conversation and the real story:
His original ad:
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...stcount=106756
So I replied with this PM (copied and pasted totally unedited):
Quote:
I'm looking to add funds on a poker site....wasn't necessarily trying to add money to lock poker but I'll consider it. Let me do some research into the site's traffic first...I've played on Merge before - I think it's very OK.
I live in Naperville BTW. There's a First American Bank branch right down the street about 1/2 mile from me.
After a few more PMs in which he is trying very hard to sell me to sign up for Lock Poker and use him as an affiliate, I tell him I’ll consider it. Never ever commit to trading at any time. We leave it at that.
The next night he messages me:
Quote:
Hey can you let me know either way yes or no if you would like to do a deal or not? I preferably want to use you as you live in the area and you also have a first american bank close by.....havent gotten too many other PMs....again my phone is XXX XXX XXXX or PM on here.. my name is Todd. Thanks man.
Upon further discussion, this guy brags about how he is friends with all these high stakes players, but he lost his rent money playing drunk and needs to transfer funds out of Lock fast so he can pay his rent. Upon even further discussion, he acknowledges that he has no funds in his Lock account. He claims he will get the funds transferred into his account later the next day from his affiliate program. Apparently that night he got drunk and played and lost his rent money he totally busto his account. I ask him, why are you bugging me about doing this trade if you don’t even currently have the funds in your account to swap? Yadda yadda yadda…..
So cliffs notes:
Puffpuff posts an ad to sell lock funds. I respond that I might be interested. He hard sells me and pressures me yet doesn’t even have the funds currently in the account yet, because he is waiting for a transfer from his affiliate program. He messages me 3 days in a row bugging me, and then gets upset when I don’t commit to buying the funds from him, even though when he kept messaging me he still didn’t have any funds in the account. He gets frustrated and posts in this thread a “warning” how I will “waste your time”
Once again 2+2ers, sorry to put all this out there, but I feel I have a right to defend myself against this crazy degen. Mods, if you want to delete this post, feel free but please also delete his “warning post” against me, it is basically libel – I have done absolutely nothing wrong here.
(also edit: his "warning message" contains cut and paste PM of mine that are out of context and out of order. He used them to try to make me look like I was arranging a deal with him. The full context of the unedited PM discussion was me saying IF I was going to meet him in Chicago like he proposed to me, then we should do it in public. This guy is a total d-bag, very shady, very unprofessional, very hostile all for no reason. I guess if I donked my rent money away too I would be stressed too maybe....
