sethy - have you ever played NL full-ring as some of these guys do?
I played 12 tables before and it feels freaking slow as syrup.
I think 5 tabling 6-max limit takes more effort and clicks.

The only real time-consuming head-ache of 12-tabling FR NL is when you bust-out and have to rebuy...at least it is for me but I don't buy-in for the default amount and don't have some AHK script or auto-rebuy thing or anything like that.
Only NL I play is 6 max. 12-tabling 6 max NL = ~8 tabling SHLHE, imo, in terms of clicks. That said there are differences in the games that make massively multitabling SHNL more difficult, at least for me since I'm not experienced enough a NL to 'autopilot'.

In order of how quickly you get to Elite - high stakes SNGS, limit HE, NLHE.

At the levels of ~ $60 SNGs, 3/6 LHE or 2/4 NLHE I think you would have to play at least 40 hrs/week and at least 10-table. This is just a guess but fairly close I think.

I'm *guessing* that I'll make it by around this point next year playing 25-30 hrs a week playing primarily 5/10-10/20 SHLHE

rwesty - yeah, that seems about right.

everyone - it's not that hard to figure out for your preferred game.
Look up the number of points or just play 30 minutes to get a rough idea of how much you would earn.

1 million points =
4000 pts X 250 days
or
3500 points X 286 days
or
3000 points X 334 days

so figure out how many hours and tables you need to play to get about 3k-4k points per day and then go from there.

note to those who are still confused:
6 hours a day of 500 points per hour = 3k points per day.
One way to get this many points per hour would be if you played 10 tables that each earned 50 points per hour!!

Not sure if this has been mentioned before...

It would be pretty cool if they had a VPP leaderboard on their website or in the lobby. I'd be interested to see the progress as the year goes by. Perhaps some players wouldn't want their name on the list, so an opt-out ability might be a good idea too. It might even create more competition/more rake as the top players battle it out to get "1st place", not just an artificial yearly goal. Bonus prizes would certainly be sweet.

Anybody else like this idea?

Is there any indication of another promotion with double vpp's at 15 billion hands ?

u sure 15 billion will hit in 2007?

I don't think it will hit in 2007.
Also, we don't know if they will do another promo at 15 billion or if they will wait until 20 billion.

I believe some poster received word from STars support or Scottyy or someone indicating that another double-VPP's promo for 2007 was not going to happen.

Anyway, I think 10 billion hit on May 25 or so IIRC.
Right now it's almost at 12.7 billion.

So that's close to 0.6 billion per month thus making it look pretty likely that 15 billion will happen in 2008.

I also think this would be fun, but only with hidden/coded names.

It's hard to maintain that much focus when you're playing too long on too many tables. With fatigue can come tiltish-issues for some people partly out of sheer boredom because, lets face it, after about a zillion hours on 8+ tables poker becomes a pretty boring game.

I would say that my pursuit of all the points almost did more harm to my game than good in some ways. I tend to take fewer breaks when I'm tired because I want to clear X amount of points for the day or whatever...and playing when over-tired or completely unfocused sometimes isn't a good thing.

If they did one last "push" for Supernova Elite/Supernova in November or December over like a three day period (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) I'm sure that the site would increase really high in player volume.

The odds of this happening are really doubtful but I guarantee it would push people who didn't think they could get Supernova (mainly) to put in a big weekend-handwise.

And, by the way, is there any article up on Redargoe for being Supernova Elite six?

Doing this at the end of the year makes no sense as they could do this anytime and have the same results. It's not going to make people pushing for Elite make one last push for it

Anyone close enough to make Elite status will make it anyway if they were close enough to have 2x VPP over 3 days make that much of a difference.

Most players would just grind a buch during those 3 days for the extra FPP's ( I know I would because it would make me about $35/hour in FPP bonuses instead of $17 or so

I am freaking panikcing. 293kish to go to Elite. 74 days left. have to average 4k a day. Don't really want to play sit n gos because I just don't like them. What can I do?

If I read the limit forum while I'm working whats my best play on like a $30kish roll (I have like 20k backup).

I can casually get 900k but whats the point of that? I'm gonna have to turn it on.

I know a guy who's going to try to make more than 300k vpp's before the year finishes. He plays nl200$ full ring, and has calculated that he'll have to play about 11 hours a day. Yeah, he's crazy :P

I considered doing something like that as well only I needed to play 16-17 hours a day. I decided it wasn't worth it so now I'm just waiting out the time till Jan 2.

The problem with a rush like that is once you start you are committed. You can't quit 4 weeks in and I think you'd want to.

Mind you if I was looking at 11 hours a day I'd have gone for it.

Yeh Gators i think your [censored] out of luck. If your not a limit player I dont think those games are ez enough anymore for you to be 8-10 tabling. Your best shot would be maybe 4 5-10 games and couple nl games and you could probably just squeek by figure thats gonna get u like 700 pts hr so that be like 10 weeks 40 hrs a week. Idk though I never tried to mix nl and limit probably really confusing. If you are a good limit player then it should be easy. In case you didnt search u get like 1.1 pts 5-10 and 1.4 pts 10-20 as opposed to nl 200 .6ish.

imo the 6+ multitablers play faster than your average donk.

I mean what limit level would I have to play in order to do this?

Can I get by with 8 tabling 3/6?
Official Supernova Elite Thread Quote
10-19-2007 , 12:18 PM
5-10 would be the best option. If you 8 table it you'd need to play about 6 hours a day

Problem is finding 8 tables. Right now there are only 2 5-10s running.

Fgators why not back a friend and have him grind hours on your account when your not playing?
