Can someone give me the lowdown on exactly how much the Beast & BBJ take affects one's WR at 50NL, 100NL etc? I don't know if it's ever been confirmed.

Ie - 3bb/100 @ 50NL etc etc.

WPN have already specced out all the changes for the next version of the software, and most of the improvements being requested will be included in that upgrade.

Asking for the same thing and demanding a response repeatedly is just pointless, and does not help. The upgrade is already being done as quickly as possible. WPN and the software providers are working on it, doing their best to get it completed as quickly as possible. Requesting changes and/or improvements now is futile, because the major client and table-design upgrade has already been specced out. You would be better off waiting until the new software is released, and at that time starting a thread related to the new software and if you feel any part of the new software needs improvement, find a way to get a consensus and post links in the BCP/ACR/TRUE threads at that time.

A few points:

1) The micro race: The way this was set-up where the OSS sattys awarded such high points values for the leaderboard was a mistake, and next time a promotion like this is run it will be vastly improved;

2) The Beast: This is not going anywhere, we have notified WPN that the structure isn't popular with many players, but they have made it perfectly clear that they do not plan on dropping/changing it anytime soon;

3) The new software: I don't have an ETA on this but I don't expect it for at least another 3-4 months, minimum;

4) Mac client: I don't have an ETA on this but I don't expect it for at least another 3-4 months, minimum;

5) HEM compatibility: I don't have an ETA on this but I don't expect it will be ready for at least another 3-4 weeks, minimum.

Thanks again, I hope this helps.
Thank you very very much,sincerely
All i needed to know,right there

No one has ever done any type of statistical analysis to prove anything. Just a bunch of opinionated complaining without any 'real facts' as to the true effect the BBJ/Beast has.

Now, that is not to say they are not right, but usually on here people use math/real play facts to make a point.

Not just the rake is so high it is unbeatable and images of the rake when some nutjob limps in these games

One thing they have proven: DO NOT LIMP in Winning Network cash games

Its got to be pretty significant imo.
Especially at 10nl and 25nl.a whole bb gets taken out even when HU.
Havent really done the math either but it does get a lil better the higher u go.
I normally MT 25nl but on BCP i play 50nl at least to offset

Thank you for the response. It may just be my reading comprehension, and I haven't been following this thread too thoroughly, but could I get a little more clarification on when the next update is coming and what might be included?

It seemed like the end of this month (January) was tentative. However, your point 3 was saying that the next software isn't for several months, but then point 5 implies that there could be changes in several weeks.

Are there smaller updates coming before the main software in ~several months? Thanks for any clarification.

When does the Mac client come out?
01-28-2013 , 10:18 PM
Ugh, I just logged on after being out of town for about a week and saw that I never received my rakeback for the previous weeks' play. Contacted chat support who in turn directed me to email the rakeback department.

I don't see this ending well.

Why don't you read up next time instead of making another useless post!

No problem. There will be minor updates coming every few weeks or so, as usual. But the major upgrade is at least 3-4 months away, minimum.

Thanks for taking the time to respond BCR..that's exactly what I was looking for.

Exactly what I needed to hear, can deal with 3-4 months on the software if they're working out some of the bugs in the meantime.

That's unfortunate that the software upgrade is so far out. Kind of deflating. Thanks for the update though.

If you email rakeback@blackchippoker.eu or vip@blackchippoker.eu I am sure Louisa will take care of this for you.

Looks like some type of maintenance as I see the MTT schedule is not running anything until 7AM EST

Yes, in 3.5hours they have planned around 2 hours of downtime for maintenance.

Anyone know when or how long it'll be before we see our "micro race" payouts in our accts?

It is usually a few days or so

Who's ever giving a 3-4 month timetable for a software upgrade must think that 2+2 members are a bunch of idiots.

The changes that need to be done are not a major rewrite of source code. Give me a break.

Or, the group thats supplying this fiasco of junk we are using now are either scammers or incompetent. 12 weeks @ 40 hour work week is 480 hours minimum per programmer. Even 1 single programmer who has any knowledge knows thats a huge overlay of time. Multiply this by two, 3, or 4 programmers and you could build a whole new platform from scratch.

3 - 4 months Plus time already in progress. When you cant see the stars no sense in trying to navigate by them. 3 or 4 more months might as well be years at the pace these clowns work.

Should I dig up my old post from ages ago where I said this would happen? How many gave me a tongue-lashing for jumping to conclusions? I said it would take 6 months based on, oh, I don't know, REALITY. It takes this network a year or more to fix a simple bug, LOL @ those that actually thought brand new software was right around the corner.
01-29-2013 , 08:52 AM
Can we get a break down of what was changed with this downtime? And can having auto-timebank be pushed to priority 1, and be completed before the major upgrade? It really should be a small job to have it already activated when it appears rather than unactivated. And should have been fixed within days of it's implementation anyways.
01-29-2013 , 09:04 AM
I think we really need some more MTTs throughout the day, just make them small guarantees if your worried of not making it, it can't be that hard to add some right ?
