Yes that they will only change this on an "average time to act basis". You really see them doing that and all the aggro it will cause them? Well i dont. They are going to leave it at 24 tables or change it to 40 for all. This 40 will only be reduced if enough complaints are made against a player.

Stars want MORE rake so altering the VIP system (as they have) and then allowing people to play MORE tables achieves this as a double whammy. Plus SNE chasers are a little happier as the yearly goal becomes achievable once again through 40 tabling without changing the 12/9 style they adopt.

My apologies, I didn't realize you have more inside knowledge about what stars is going to do about this than Steve does.

Obviously I have no inside knowledge. But Stars is good at planting seeds/drip feeding info on changes they hope to make. Just guessing that Steve is testing the water on this one, hence putting it in the SNE thread.

All my thoughts are is, based on Stars previous form, a guesstimate of the likely outcome of the info presented. Why tell the community that one player will be allowed to 40 table if they are not going to let everyone else do it in time. Would cause a near riot in here.

Agree with krmont, I see bad things in this possible change. While people are getting behind the idea that stars may limit the slower players, what they seem to have overlooked is that what u think is slow and what stars think is slow may constitute different things. I wouldn't be surprised if this results in slow players just being able to play more tables, and the games slowing down/ having more regs in the seats. Could be ****ing terrible for the games. Prairiehawk 30 tabling anyone? Most 24 tablers aren't terrible, I don't really want them to sit more of my tables and take the seat of other less competent players that may have otherwise sat.

lol at example... imo it will be like that if you are timing out too much and slowing down action they will decrease your maximum amount of tables lets say by 10-20% and vice versa

Let's suppose guy laliberte is playing one table at once, and takes too much time
before making a decision because he's slow. I don't care, if your system says guy L
wouldn't be able to play 2 tables at a time, then limit him to 1.

So, The method should have to be fair for everyone. I'm also tired of waiting for
recreational players to make a decision because they can be sluggish too (no default bet, they have less experience hence don't know what to do and think more...).

Also, even if this means that a lot of regs have their max tables reduced, the damage to hands/hr will be offset by the generally faster tables.

You really believe that there will be reductions? Not sure i do. Hurts Stars bottom line. Better to have 20 tables going slow than 10 moving quicker. Something tells me this whole episode is about getting even more tables open and bleeding the poker economy dry even quciker than they currently are. Maybe they know something about the long term viability of online poker and are just grabbing as much as they can whilst the going is still decent.

Two issue need addressing.......

1. Make the games fun again (limiting multi-table grinding)

2. Make the games beatable once again (reducing overall rake)

What do Stars do........ the total opposite, take money out of the poker economy at a faster rate this year than last then encourage the same players they have just shafted to play more tables for longer to make up for it.

Sorry but if this is the direction you are going Stars online poker is dying on its feet.
