1-2 limit has a very wide range for the VPP rate. It can go from .30 to .5+ depending on the time of day.

Regardless 75 hands per hour * 24 tables = 1800 hands / hour

Using the .35 VPP rate that is 630 VPP/hour

Still short of the 667VPP/hour required but not by much. If the person actually played during the peak time they would be in the 720VPP/hour area and make it to Elite.

i calculated 30 hours at NL 1/2 FR with a MTR over 20 should do the trick (being elite at the end of the year). sounds quite easy

24tables x 75 hands/hr x 30 hours/week x .42 vpp/hand x 52 weeks = ~1.18 Million VPPs

Congrats, IMO.

Is it just me or are people always over estimating how many hands you play per hour?

I have 24 tabled before, and to assume that you get 75 hands/hour on a table when you have 23 others running seems like an overestimation.

When you 24 table, (and when others do as well) you slow down the pace of the table you are sitiing at.

I have never gotten more than 1400-1450 hands per hour 24 tabling NL, and those numbers are assuming I already have all the tables up and running, and 100% focus on them clicking as fast as possible.

Maybe its just me.

Yes, they usually overestimate. If you play for several hours straight then you can certainly see 1400-1500 hands per hour. But it's tough (at least for me) to sit there and grind 24 tables for that long. If you take breaks, it affects the rate because of the difficulty of sitting in and out effectively. For me, I just sit out at all tables regardless of where I'm at in the orbit. Then when I sit back in, I have to wait for the BB to come around.

I think the 75 hands/hour number without breaks might be a tad high, but not by much.

Depends on the player naturally.

I think the short of it is if you can sit there for 8 hours with no breaks you can average close to 1500 hands per hour making the calculations accurate. But how many people do this? Actually, I'd love to know the answer to that question.

After 2 hours straight of 24-tabling my brain feels like it's going to explode. Perhaps I'm just a lazy wimp.

I've been 18 tabling 1/2 nl 6 max and usually play 2-3 hours take a break and do this 3 or 4 times a day. I agree i think i wouldn't be able to function if i tried to do 8 hours everyday without breaks.
06-26-2008 , 05:37 PM
^^ this. except 24 tables of nl fr. I was ****** murdering myself earlier this month playing like 5+ hr sessions of 2-4 nl before I realized that it was def not +ev. I dropped to 1-2 and have been shortening my sessions signifigantly, trying to play a max of 3 hours a time. I don't think 24 tabling is particularly difficult, but it will def make ur head asplode if done for too long at a time.

short session with breaks > long session

We need a Stars economic stimulus package soon.

AKA double points promo.

Or maybe a 50% bonus points promo.

One time dealer!!!

For people who 24 table, how long did it take you to get used to it. I've just moved from Tilt, and could 16 table with great ease over there, but trying to 24 table, **** that is alot harder then 16. And without auto top up, it sucks hard.
06-27-2008 , 05:42 AM
It really depends on your attitude and on your play stile.
I jumped directly from 2 tablind HUSNG to 24tabling nl50,but i do play something like 12/11/4,so it's pretty brainless.

I think that if you can easily 16 table you can jump to 24 in less than a month.
