I'm sure this has been mentioned before but for someone who has already done the math, how much is supernova elite worth if you are completely breakeven, just tallying up FPPs and bonuses and tournament entries, NOT counting the 5X multiplier on any play next year or the VIP club tournaments. I'm gonna guess 90K

• 2 000$ bonus
• 3 000$ bonus
• 4 000$ bonus
• 5 000$ bonus
• 6 000$ bonus
• 8 000$ bonus
• 10 000$ bonus (instead of a tournament package)
• EPT Montecarlo package (19 250$)
• 3 200 000 fpp (51 200$ using them via concierge service)
• WCOOP Main Event Entry (2 600$)

Total: 111 050$

Did you subtract the cost of the milestone bonuses?

Yes, if not I would have said 3 500 000 fpp's instead of 3 200 000.

vedast's calcs are mostly correct if you are supernova from the very beginning of the year. If you are starting from bronze then you will get slightly fewer FPP's.

3,200,000 FPP value is actually a little higher than $51.2k though.
It would be $51.2k IF the concierge value were 1.6c per hand.
But 31k/$500 = 1.6129c which is a little higher than 1.6c.

So the actual value of 3.2 million FPP's via concierge is $51612.80!!
Woo-hoo!!!

Not sure if his estimation of the Monte Carlo package is a little high...but if he is it's probably only by $1k or so. If it really is worth that much than all the better!!

If you semi-regularly play the Saturday freerolls then that can be an extra $1k in a value or more on top of that. $35 value each X 30 weeks or something.

Well, more or less is the same that I've calculated. I've considered that the Montecarlo package worths 19 250$ because 1 of them is given in each qualifier for each 19 250$ in the prize pool.

Well that would be kind of a dead giveaway as to the MC value I guess.

Man...I really like the idea of going to the Bahamas but the difference in value between the two packages is just so freaking significant. Assuming I make it there though I think it's a dilemma I can live with. Might kind of depend on our schedule and ability to travel at each time of year too.

to get the $50k from concierge, don't you have to buy $50k worth of crap? or is there some easy way to cash in via concierge that I'm missing?

Yes, you do. Anyway, if you use fpp's to buy bonuses, you get only 3 200$ less.
01-14-2008 , 09:39 PM
you can sell said crap, but that takes time and effort so **** that obv

buy 50k worth of gold

easy to resell without loss of value

I'm at 42k VPP's after tonight. This includes one week at 200 NL, and one week at 100NL. I am on pace for around 80k~ this month, which would put me just about on pace for SNE. Factor in the (hopeful) double points promotion, and me eventually getting back to 200 NL, and I should be able to make it, without killing myself.

you can't buy gold with the concierge service

well i'm back.. sitting in the airport waiting on my last flight....did i give everyone enough time to catch up?
01-14-2008 , 11:06 PM
29,382 after the first 2 weeks.
01-15-2008 , 01:26 AM
A little off topic..

If I 12x table 10NL for 15hrs a week.. 20..

What VIP status would I be able to reach and maintain..

The calculator only goes down to 50NL and I know it's a bit off..

Thanks,

How long before the double points promo has it been announced in past years?

Obv I need to clear my schedule and lock myself in a room for the entire time.

Figured I'd ask here does Stars report concierge service purchases to the IRS if they are over 10K? Or any amount for that matter?

And welcome back. Sounds like quite a trip.

in the past I think they give you a few hours advance notice before it is going to start. maybe a day.
Nobody had any clue ahead of time really...at least not that I'm aware of.
You just need to be prepared to crank it out.

Were almost at 14.57 bil now. So if they are going to do it they will probably announce it just shy of 14.9 bil would be my guess which will be in a couple weeks maybe?? No idea really.

Am I the only one that thinks that if there is a double points promo, it'll be after July 1st when the current SNEs lose their status? Scottyy once said that 07 SNEs will earn 60% RB in 08, and a double point promo will leave them pretty close to actually "paying" those players during the promo. BigJoe2003 earned something like 200k VPPs during the promo last year

The only downside to that decision for Stars would be that less people would be hooked on the SNE chase for this year. They sure do already have a lot of people chasing though.

As a testament to that, my chase update has me at 61.5k VPPs through 15 days, a pace of well over 4000 VPPs a day. I'm on track to hit 1.5 million points without the benefit of a double points promo. I still haven't been in any of Scottyy's top 20 updates. I would venture to say at this point that there have to be over 150 people shooting for SNE. I'm fascinated to see how many actually make it. Those with recollections of last year: Do there appear to be many more chasing this year compared to last?
01-15-2008 , 04:54 AM
scottyy didn't give us the daily updates last year or anything like that but I do think there almost have to be more who are after it this year than last.
39 people got it last year I believe.
Wouldn't surprise me to see 100 or so make it this year.

No idea when the double-points promo will be, assuming there is one. There doesn't HAVE to be afterall..we don't know and are just guessing.
People are kind of guessing/hoping/assuming that one could come in Feb as part of a 15-bil hand promo.
01-15-2008 , 05:01 AM
Hmmm, I'm getting 0.51 per hand at 200NL 6 max, but I'm a table selection nit (and somewhat of a lagtard). Maybe I run good at something on Stars finally?
01-15-2008 , 05:03 AM
does anyone have vpp/hand numbers for 15/30 and 30/60 6max limit? I am curious and I've been without my database for a few weeks...

Stars is already giving away alot of money everytime they do a promotion so i'm sure that if some players are earning more than 100% rakeback then stars isn't going to go crazy
