I emailed my 888 contact, and asked him to call me tomorrow for their offer. Lets hope he calls me tomorrow, then I can post all the offers, and make a decision. We are just waiting on 888 at this point

Oh I'm so in this is awesome. I've been waiting for something like this since back in the $4.40 180/man weekly competitions on stars.

I might be interested in this. I'm glad to be back playing online poker.

Update All offers are in, and our partnering site has been selected. We will be holding our series on 888. Here are the offers: 1) Party poker showed no interest at all, never even contacted me, and we received no offer from them. 2) WSOP showed initial interest, but declined to be involved on January 24th. They did not place any offer at all. 3) Ultimate poker stepped up to the plate, offering
to take all the rake throughout the series, adding it to the final tournament, and doubling that, effectively giving us 200% rakeback. Also they would possibly throw in some UFC tickets, but they weren't totally sure about that. 4) 888 offered to add $1,000 to the final prize pool, the final championship sng, plus ($10 multiplied by any unique member over 100 for any regular season tournament). They will also add in merchandise for the finale, such as shirts and hats and other miscellaneous things, to be determined at a later date.
So the choice was between 888 and Ultimate, as these were our only two options. I chose 888, because the offers are comparable, and 888 is the overall better tournament site. The software is better on 888, and they have synchronized breaks, which is huge. I would like to thank 888, wsop, and ultimate poker for their offers. I really appreciate it.

LOL yeah me too I think I was the season 2 champion if I am remembering correctly... This might be even better since the old Stars competition had a ton of non-participants in each tourney. This will be password-protected plus having it on 888 equals massive snowball/tomato throwing lol

Fantastic 888 is my fav site plus the fun factor of pelting people with snowballs cannot be underestimated! Looking forward to this starting up!

I will also be giving two free hours of mtt or headsupstngo coaching to the winner, whichever they want. Or live cash game coaching, because I played 2/5nl full time for years. I cannot coach online cash games, because I don't play online cash. If anyone wants to offer a free hour of coaching to the champion, let me know

Thx, yea I am now in contact with the lady who will set up the tournament series. I will specify that we want 5k starting chips, 12 minute levels, 7:30pm start time, on the last Sunday of each month, starting Feb 23rd. The championship will be held on November 23, 2014. All tournaments will be password protected, with a different password for the final nine GOATS, who will get a special password for the championship one table Stngo.

say one event gets 120 and another gets 110. I'd say that means another $300 added to final SNG

U mad cuz you bad at reading? lol

$1000 with the possibility of it being more in free added money, depending on the turnout. Divide that by nine players, that's still minimum over $110 free value per final nine members. I hope you didn't expect a $5,000 prize package or something, because no site would ever give away that much, to us. Lets say our first tourney gets 120 entrants, that would be $10*20=$200 in addition to the automatic $1,000, added to the finale.

Great job pulling this together and getting the offers. 1K+ in money being added, free merchandise, free coaching, bragging rights and throwing snowballs and tomatoes at each other - can't beat that

Looking forward to it. Thanks again Brilliant!

P.S. And thanks to both 888 and UP for the offers

OK. The Two Plus Two New Jersey Brilliant Playoff Series is ON.

Is 888 taking a rake for the Tournaments?

So we get points for finishing 1 to 20.

We pay $15 per tournament.

Top 9 play in the Final SNG based on points gained in the 9 tournaments.

888 adds $1000 to the final SNG + $10 for each person over 120 players for each Monthly Tournament.

Only the top 9 get paid?

We invest $135 each if we play all 9. Is this the final table Prize Pool?

Or, does each month's Tournament get a payout? 888 Normal calculation?

If each tournament gets a payout then for what is the final SNG playing?

$1k+?
02-04-2014 , 05:56 PM
Oh thank god it's 888. I've found that it's the easiest to use, and it's mac friendly!

Each monthly tournament is a $15 tournament. I will find out what the rake will be. It will be a standard tournament with normal 888 payout structure, based on the number of entrants. At the end of the tournament, I will do my calculations based on the point system posted earlier. The top 9 players in cumulative points, after the regular season ends, will make the November nine. That will be a $50 buyin. So we will have $450, plus a minimum of $1,000 added from 888 (we will get more added, if we get more than 100 players for any regular season event), to distribute to the top three finishers in the finale. In 2015, we can make a high roller, and a regular event. We can also change the format, depending on what the forum wants. Perhaps we can do a headsup structure, which is always fun. But lets have a successful 2014 series first, then we can make changes

02-04-2014 , 06:41 PM
Aah this is awesome. Thanks again Brilliant. I will PM you my 888 name now.

Yes I will post in the NJ thread and the 888 thread. Everyone who would like to participate in the series, please Private Message me your 888 username. I will keep track of everyone's name, in a spreadsheet, and I will keep it confidential. This will be used for the overall points leaderboard.
