May be a dumb question but we all heard by now that stars is going to operate in NJ. Does this mean we can play with others worldwide or strictly only other players in NJ?

Plz to add action to the NJ scene. I know the majority of my play will move to Stars, but I honestly don't know how much this will change the cash games. I do think it'll improve/help out tournies immensely though.

And it happened third quarter, just as they said.

I don't know why some of you are unhappy about not being able to play against the rest of Stars' customer base around the world. Yes, there would be tons more liquidity, but they would be games that you don't want to play. We should be happy that we can keep our soft games to ourselves. If Jersey was in the same player pool as the rest of the world, they would scare off the NJ fish with their reg-infested games controlled by the cartels and seating scripts in a matter of months. The games today are nothing like they were pre-Black Friday. But with US players only and Stars being able to openly market the games to attract new players here like never before, the games could be better than they have been since the early days of the poker boom.

The big thing is just adding more states, with just Jersey atm it isn't so great, but combining two or three states would be a big deal.

I guess it's time I change my location from "awaiting Stars return to NJ" to awaiting NJ to add more states to player pool!!

I just wanna know when we can play already. This is a way worse sweat than waiting for it to be approved.

Speculation on time frame still very open. Could be as late as the beginning of 2016.

But, NJDGE has confirmed this morning. Received this e-mail.

After an extensive review, the New Jersey Division of Gaming enforcement has granted a transactional waiver to six Amaya subsidiaries to operate the PokerStars and FullTilt brands through a partnership with Internet gaming permit holder Resorts Digital Gaming.
