I won a $22 satellite for tomorrow's tourney. Just saw that it's 10K starting chips and 20 mins levels. I am assuming 250 players (hopefully nice overlay based on today's $109)

Anyone have any idea how long this tournament will play until?! (I plan on busting on level 12, just curious)

River card is a K giving me the high straight. He bets the pot like 750.

My mistake is raising him to around 1750 and then he pushed all in and I called.

He shows QQ, four of a kind. LOL!
Nice call on the river after the reraise

its tempting their might be a 100k$ overlay but really would not be smart bankroll management on my part….i just dont see more than 300 people entering……i do see though WSOP is giving away 2 seats every 30 minutes with those 22 rebuy sat tournaments

Libraries with open WIFI are working well. A lot of libraries in NJ make you login to their system first -- which acts like a proxy and thus throws off the geolocation. But, some libraries do not and they work great. So far I have found the South Orange via the NJRail and Hoboken via the PATH are open and working. Hoboken Library is by far closest -- but the last time I was there I found a bed bug (no kidding) and I will never be returning.

Other than that, there are a lot of WIFI spots in Hoboken -- especially along Washington Ave. The issue is that you are sitting in cafe or restaurant and that's not that comfortable of a place to play.

Starbucks seems to not be working -- because of the proxy thing, similar to the Library issue.

That's what I got -- but let's start a thread.
Has this thread been started? Searched but no luck. If so, can someone send a link? Thanks.

by the way, what's the action like for the NJ sites anyway? After reading through a good chunk of this thread, I'm trying to decide if it's even worth it for me to take the PATH to NJ and then find a public wifi spot that doesn't boot me in a matter of minutes. If the current action is just 2+2 grinders commuting to and from Dunkin' Donuts every day, doesn't really seem worth it?

The stakes I'd be looking at are probably 100NL, preferably 6-max tables but 10 would work too.

Obviously I wouldn't expect the fish to be as bountiful as they were back in the day, but I'd be hoping to be focus my play on good/juicy tables, not just hardcore grinding against other grinders all day.

It's worth it. Logging into borgata wsop and 888 you will find plenty of action.

It has been steadily increasing. I play .25/50 and .5/1 and there are always 10+ games going across the 3 sites.

If you can get on before 2/1 and wager $500 in one day on 888 they will give you 80% rakeback through April. Not a better deal than that!

I personally don't understand why anyone even plays on any of the other sites except 888 because of the 80% rakeback (despite the difficulty in getting it). So the question is, why are you playing on "x" site, or not playing another. Enlighten.

So NJ poke is super juicy, but what type of stakes are running there? Would it be worth an American who has moved abroad to move back? ie, expect to make $15k+/month?

Probably not but imo its better than merge and bovada but if you are still making money on pokerstars i would stay for now.

If you follow a link in the comments, you will see a story explaining the proposed bill. It would not allow NJ players to join the ROW. It just allows foreign operators to locate their servers here for the ROW. The 'pitch' is that for $20 million and some percentage of your revenue, you'll have the credibility of being located in NJ as opposed to places like Gibraltar or Isle of Man. ridiculous!

The article you linked is old news( dated Nov 25). Pooling is exactly what they are talking about when it comes to the latest news.

Do you really need them? You can only play 6 tables max.

You are able to download HH and view your stats to improve your play.

Nope, I don't think there is enough traffic/action yet taking place to warrant such a move. Weekends there is plenty of traffic it's weeknights that there are only a hand full of tables going. Could you put together 6-8 tables of 1/2 or higher, maybe. But then you are going to be sitting at the same table with the same 3-4 other people that are doing the samething.

Two of the sites have a table limit of 6 at anyone time. These same two don't allow the use of huds. You can download HH but then you have to convert them to HM only after you complete play. The other site is Party/Borgata. This site does allow the use of HM and you can mass table but there really isn't a ton of traffic on that site maybe 10-12 tables running 1/2 and above.

Then you have to factor in the cost of living in this state or the tri state area. It's not very cheap.
