I plan on going to borgata on Sunday and playing their deep stack, then grinding online on Monday as I wait for day 2 on tuesday.

I'm not a NJ resident. Has the traffic been decent enough that I can grind some tournaments on a monday? Also, is it gonna be a huge hassle to get up and running? Any advice would be appreciated.

For starter, remove all tiemviewer, gotomypc or any other software that allows you to remotely access your computer. Have documentation with you to prove who you are if there is an issue with your ssn # and dob.

Yes there will be enough tourneys for you to play on a given night, you will just have to join several sites to make this possible.

I browsed this thread and can't come to a conclusion...
If I stay at the Borgata, will I be able to access all of the sites through their Wifi? Going to to do nothing but create accounts and play/test. If not Borgata, which hotels are working for this? (Revel?)

I have this same question. Specifically, can you access sites from the Living Room and the Cafeteria?

Where should I start? There basically isn't one single thing that I like about that site.

On Day 1 there was no bonus that was promised. Emailed support but no answer.

I completely dislike basically everything regarding the software. The login email you can't opt out of, the silly missions and achievements, not being able to see what cash games are running, the subpar game playing interface (liked it better in 2003), the tourney lobby, and seeing the 1-800-GAMBLER thing every single time I log out.

They have a 50K Sunday, but the payouts are very flat. I find their entire tournament schedule very meh and boring. WSOP is having the Online Championships, what is Borgata doing?

WSOP will get some FLO8 and Stud games going because their cash game lobby helps that. Borgata's gets in the way.

888 will now be giving 80% rakeback over the next three months. Why would I play on Borgata instead?

I am a Borgata black card, but I don't even consider playing online there

In all fairness I think the 800 gambler message is a requirement of the regulators.

But I mostly agree regarding their software, esp. the lobby. They do probably have a better variety of low-buyin tourneys than 888/WSOP, and bigger guarantees since they have more players. The missions and achievements I don't really get and I can't imagine a lot of poker players care all that much about completing missions but maybe I'm wrong.

The missions aren't so bad because you get tickets to freerolls when you complete them.

With that said, I despise almost everything about playing on Borgata's site. 888 is sooo much better. 80% rake back and rake free sit and gos. Yeah, I know they don't have any way to cash in points yet, but who cares? You are getting 80% rake back and cash beats any stupid thing you can buy in one of the stores.

Yeah, probably right..and to be honest I had never noticed it from WSOP and 888 until I just looked. It is a tiny message. But that is a tiny tiny tiny issue. I just mentioned it because it's at the very end. On last tilting thing to complete the experience.

If i go to borgata and stay there for 2 nights... would i be able to play on the wsop, borgata/partypoker or ultimatepoker? I recalled when i was at borgata, there was free wifi at borgata and the living room but none at the hotel.

Few quesitons i want to ask. Im in canada and play on stars/tilt and from NYC and might head to Borgata so i could play some live cash game but also play online.

1. Would i be able to open an acct online when playing using borgata wifi? I read ppl mention about the hotel wifi but couldnt you play at the borgata cafeteria or anywhere around the casion where you can get a seat? I mean... couldn't you use one of those tables at borgata cash games assuming they are empty?

2. How do i deposit/withdraw? I assume bank of america debit/credit card or the echeck method works? I used echeck to deposit on stars back then with bank of america with no problem.

3. When do you send in the id to verify yourself? When you open an acct or when you request a cashout?

4. Can you deposit/cashout at the cage or is it check or echeck only?

5. Anyone used skrill for deposit/withdraw? If so is it very easy to verify? I use skrill in canada and no longer is it allowed for gambling transactions here soon.

A guy at my table was playing on wsop.com on an iPad yesterday so it works in the event center. Not sure if it would work from a room since you need to pick up multiple wifi's. I can see 2 hot spots, one of which is very weak, so maybe it's possible. Have my work computer with me in my hotel room which I can't play on, otherwise I'd try it and let you know.

Btw, there's free wifi in the living room, casino and event center, but you have to pay for it in a room.

Vantiv's Joe Pappano (payment processor) told us that a committee has been formed by banks and CC cos to fix the 7995 gambling designation problem.
h/t: @AgentMarco

If that doesn't work out, hopefully they'll form a blue-ribbon panel.

Good luck in the WPT events you enter!

I think it maybe possible to run it but you may have verification issues. Did you already setup an account?

You will need to be connected to Wifi. I'm sure you can find a wireless network to connect to but don't know if it will have a NJ IP.

We were told that location verification based on 4G is coming soon. Coming soon........

Overall promos are better on other sites but if you're only playing for 3 hours Borgata/Party are your best bet.

Right.

Heh, I think "literally" is one of the most misused words in the English language these days.

I don't know if I'm missing something, but I just went into all 3 NJ site forums, and there have been posts by reps in all of them in the last week. Of course I haven't looked in detail and I understand that there may be unaddressed issues, but "literally 0 interaction" doesn't seem especially accurate.
Last time Bringing up this issue before I give up, you happened to look after party rep did one of his responses to 10 things in 15 mins then disappears. I am specifically talking about them and to a lesser extent but still completely accurate the wsop rep. Look at the amount of issues people are posting in both forums and the lack of response/assistance. Ultimate support is fine i'm not referring to them.

Once again I don't know what can be done but it kind of defeats the point of having a forum if you only address people at the rate that is occurring.

I think it's definitely something to be concerned about, especially because the frequency of posts is actually getting worse with time (Party_rep seemed to be posting every couple of days for a while, and now his last three visits have been on 12/26, 1/02, and 1/08). It really seems like an afterthought, like they took one of the three or four guys handling email support and said "here, log onto this forum when you have time and answer some questions once in a while."
