Not sure if you can observe the games on Borgata/Party even if you are in New Jersey. Am I missing something?

I have tried everything to verify to Borgata's online site that I do live in NJ and no luck so far. I went as far as contacting my ISP provider to verify that my IP address was local to NJ. The only thing that I could think of is that maybe because I am using a MAC OS laptop that I could be experiencing these problem. I have contact Borgata's support but they are not very helpful. Do you anyone of you guys have suggestions?

It seems like I have to re-download the wsop software every time I want to play. I open the file folder on my computer and click all the icons that look like the application and nothing opens successfully.

Every time I re-download the software it opens and I can play fine. What's going on here?

Anyone else?

Seriously, I don't want to argue with you, I am trying to help you.

You are playing from a wired desktop and now added a wifi adaptor, right? Is it the one supplied by some of the sites?

If you have a wireless laptop,or tablet, have you tried connecting via that from the same location?

I would bet, at least at this point, that your wifi is your big issue. Have you tried from another location? Some public locations nearby with free wifi?

Even if cell phone technology was deployed by more casinos, it still would not be the only location check you have to pass.

Without knowing your actual details I just cant see what other issues you might have. Only the sites have that information. Hopefully they can step up soon and be more precise with their advice.

Wow good point just bizarre. I was looking forward to being able to doing sunday majors and wrapping up before bed not playing till 1am.

no chance any time soon...NJ will be going to the Supreme Court to attempt to overturn federal regulation...that'll take years...

For those of you having issues with creating a WSOP password, the most likely reason is that you are trying to include a symbol in your password. The website does not accept passwords with either symbols or capital letters, so try creating a password with only lowercase letters and numbers. I had the same issue and it took me a while to figure it out.

+1...unless they know something we don't and are planning on adding NV to the player pool someday soon...can't see that happening tho...once this gets rolling, if the sites see the number of runners is low bcz of the time, maybe we can get them to start earlier...i only suggest that all players continue to post here with feedback and email the crap out of customer support with suggestions...can't hurt, right?...

Arrrgh. Ok.

I've been unsuccessful trying to play at Borgata and wsop. I'm on a desktop, but I have a wireless network in my house. I bought a wifi dongle and installed it, but it can only find my network. I'm in the boonies somewhat, but 15 miles from PA. My neighbors aren't right on top of me, but they're not miles away either. When I look for other wifi networks on my phone, I can see three of my neighbors', but only intermittently (sometimes none, sometimes 1 or 2, occasionally all three... this changes literally by the second). But the dongle can't see any of them, only mine.

So: do I need a better dongle (don't we all?), or should I get a booster? What's the cheapest way out of this?

Afaik, the issue should not be Mac specific. If you have verified that your IP shows as your NJ location, do you know if you have more than one possible wifi connection showing on your computer?
I guess first thing to ask is if your computer has wi-fi enabled. If you need help doing that, let me knowl If you have verified that your IP shows as your NJ location, do you know if you have more than one possible wifi connection showing on your computer?

More than one, ideally 3 or more, is usually necessary to "find you".

Has the site told you what your issue is? Error messages from many sites have not been very clear, but obv you will have to either disable or remove any remote desktop applications or VPNs as well.

I'm outside NJ and planning to travel there in the near future. I'm unable to see the deposit methods allowed at Party/Borgata. Can someone post what the exact deposit methods are? Thanks!

Figured this out myself. The issue is that I can only open the 888 and WSOP clients from the admin/owner profile on Win Vista, not any other profiles.

Annoying and strange, and not a problem with any of the other clients, but I guess I'll roll with it.

Is anyone else having problems downloading the WSOP client? It won't even start the download. I'm in NJ and had a successful setup on Borgata.

I have tried playing WSOP.com on both windows and mac. I have no problems with windows but while I'm playing on mac, I get kicked off every few minutes because my location cannot be verified. I'm connecting to the same wireless router and I can see at least 10-12 Wifi networks.

WSOPBill responded in of the support threads and said they are looking at platform specific geolocation issues.

hey guys, new to online poker. Can someone explain to me the difference between playing on Partypoker and Borgata?
I have a Borgata account but would like to play some of these Sunday PP tournies. Are these only offered on PP and not Borgata? If i create a partypoker account can I transfer money from my Borgata account.
Also, can I be logged into both at the same time since it is different user names?
What is the main difference between PP and Borgata. Why would they have two sites with the same players? I'm confused.

PP and Borgata are the same "site", just different branding. The same pool of players will be playing irrespective of which site you're logged into. If you have a Borgata card you should get Borgata credits for playing through the Borgata site, but you wouldn't get them through the Party Poker site.

Where do you enter your Borgata card information?

Isn't there going to be a cash advance fee if you use a credit card? Haven't done this in so long

This location stuff is getting ridiculous. Kicks me off in the middle of hands with actual money in the middle and won't verify location for 10 minutes when trying to log back in. If this continues and happens to others we have to have some sort of legal recourse. It's tilting beyond belief to flop a flush and get kicked out and to finally get pocket queens and conveniently get kicked off.

They need to fix this, now. Until then, I will not put another dollar in.
