I started grinding on the 19th of May and i received this mail on the 28th of may.

I got this email from 888poker:

This is the Operations Team at 888poker and we are contacting you with regards to your account with username "avanelferen".

We have reviewed your account and also your game history. Whilst reviewing your game history we see suspicious gaming activity which indicates that you have been participating in the transfer of money on our tables. As previously explained to you, this is when one member intentionally loses to another member so money can be transferred.

We are in particular concerned with your gameplay with ‘’GrinderALF‘’.

Using our tables to transfer money is strictly against our Terms and Conditions and will not be tolerated.

Please provide any information you feel may be relevant regarding your recent actions on our tables. In the meantime your account will remain blocked and no funds will be returned.

Regards,

Operations Team
operations@cassava.net

They asked me this:
Date 28th May, Heads Up tables, sessions IDs:

69302989,
69378089
69378080
69376782
69374499

Could you please provide us with an explanation regarding this game play?

I have no clue who GrinderALF is though, and I have no handhistory of me playing against this player.

It's possible that I have lost 5 super turbo heads up's in a row, but that's not because I was trafficing money, but just because I suck at super turbo's.
And it's quite normal that you lose more than 5 games in an row because the variance is huge in Super turbo heads up.

What can I do know? I'm corresponding with their comstumer service now for a while (8 mails) but I didn't got any further.

What do I need to do? Because this is just theft! They just took my money, without showing me any proof or whatever.

Please help!

regards

You played a total of 170 games on the site, and GrinderALF played a total of 102 games on the site.

Interesting that you both decided to suddenly play so many heads up matches, including Omaha ones (a game both of you do not play otherwise) for several times each of your average buy ins.

If this was not a simplistic chip dump, then you guys managed to find a way (newish accounts, unusual game selection, huge increase in buy ins, one player losing all of them) to completely mimic being a chip dumper! Your opponent celebrated his multiple $200 Omaha heads up match wins by playing some $3 and $5 rebuy Holdem MTTs!

Not really sure what you expect in the way of help if this is all the data you have at this time. I am guessing if the individual hand histories of some of those heads up matches were available you probably would not even start this thread.

All the best.

You need to pay for Omaha Manager, as HEM only tracks holdem.

I used a magical tracking site called Sharkscope. Even though you have not opted in, one can still see the most recent 8 tournaments played, which for the user name avanelferen are the following:

Perhaps you just do not remember getting dealt 4 cards in any of those games, because as you have said

and certainly part of "sucking" could involve registering for tournaments about 10+ times your normal buy in in a different format, not even noticing you were dealt the wrong amount of cards, continuing to register for those events until you lost 5 in a row within a 10 minute time frame, and then forgetting you ever played them even though the only game you ever played after was a $15 Holdem HU several hours later - magically against the same opponent!

The only angle you can have here is claiming you were hacked, and that your $800ish balance was dumped to another player, and if you had said that then while I would still have doubts, it would at least make more sense than the "I suck at poker so I do not remember losing" thing you chose to say instead.

Hope that helped!

All the best.

WTF! I never played those games. How is that possible? I did play the lower buy ins but never PL omaha hi turbo 100+

My credit card wasn't registrated so I hope there is no way that someone stole my money.

When did you last log into your 888 account? When did you last log out (or close) of 888?

When did you last play on 888? What game(s) did you play? Did you play the $12.50 NLHE HU SNG ID 69381649?

Oh no!!! OP was hacked!!!

Well, who really knows at this point, but the OP probably should go with that story with 888 and ask them if your account got logged into from a different place on the day of May 28th just after midnight EST time.

It was the accounts first play in over a week, so if you did have $800 in there then there is a decent chance you did get hacked, but even so you will likely not get the funds back even if they re-open your account, unless 888 took it from the other account.

OP should change the password on the associated email account as well, as that may have been where the hacking originated (assuming this was a hack and not a simplistic chip dump).

Not really much else can be done here- it was either a very LOLbad chip dump or a hack, and 2+2 cannot really do much other than suggest the OP use a bit better common sense in future.

holy ****. I it possible that the hacker stole the $834 from me? When i logged in the next day my bankroll was the same as when I logged off. I have no credit card registrated at the site.

Tough luck... once sites like these make the decision, it's final.

Sorry, I say this from personal experience.

I've heard on 888forum that this happens a lot. They are going to check from what IP adress the hacker logged in. So they can see that it wasn't me. Some get there account back again. Above all I'm the victim here not the crook, so why should I be punished?
06-09-2015 , 04:45 AM
I don't care if some of you don't believe me. I'm glad I posted this thread on some forums because now I know why my account got suspended.

First I was very pissed at the at the costumerservice of 888 poker, because I only played micro and small stakes in a normal way.

But you guys pointed out that I was playing PLO super turbo HU's of 100usd and 200usd. 834usd was lost in 13 minutes while I was asleep and my bankroll was around 77usd.

I reported it all to 888 and they are going to check the IP adresses.
I'm glad to read that I'm not the only one who happened it to, and I've read some hopefull messages that when it is proven that it happened from another IP I wil get my account and my 65usd back.

Thanks for your help, and a big **** you to all the sceptical

So long, gay boys!

Update:
Dear

This is the Operations Team at 888poker and we are contacting you with regards to your account

Thank you for contacting us.

With regard to your account, your account was suspended due to high value of funds lost to another user, the hands in the Tournaments and the fact that this was done from a different IP address than usually used on your account.

During the time that your account was accessed from a different IP, the 3rd party generated funds and then lost them to the other user using Head's Up Tournaments. The actions in this case was to leave your bankroll at the exact same amount as your last login, an attempt to hide the unauthorized use of your account. There was no deposit, cashout or Money Transfers performed during the unauthorized use period. Note that all logins were performed with your username and password.

Anthonie, we are willing to reopen your account, however we would ask that you that you run an anti-virus scan on your computer and check and malware of key tracker software. We would also recommend that you change the password on your email account. Once you confirm that your computer is clean and email safe, we will reopen your account and send you a new password by email.

Regards,

JUSTICE!

No, because you only had $77 in your account. #SimpleMaths

I thought you might be the innocent victim of a hacked password when I read the OP, but most threads that start like this one turn out to be posted by cheats that got caught.
You should definitely tighten up your security, run an anti-virus/anti-malware app, and in the future you should avoid clicking on attachments or links sent to you by random people via skype/email, as that's the most likely way that someone found out your log-in details. If they got your password once, they can do it again if you're not careful.

You ignored my previous questions, but how did the extra $800+ come to be on your account? Cash games?

LOL, that some people still have doubts after 888 send me a confirmation that I indeed was hacked.

9/11 was an inside job and the moon landing was staged in a studio in Hollywood.

Do you tilt much at the poker tables? And do you always insult people that actually try to help you and shed some light into problems?
