Hi,

i am deciding which monitor to buy for multi tabling, a 270$ for 20 inch or $380 for 22 inch.

i saw the 22 inch at the store and no doubt that it can fit the tables alright, however, i am leaning toward a cheaper monitor like a 20 inch, however they don't currently have one at the store, does anyone use a 20 inch monitor for multi tabling? how many tables can it fit comfortably?

interested on hearing your experience.

I use two 17s, but then again I am not doing like 28 tables. My setup is good for 12 or maybe a few more tables comfortably...

Stars min table size is 486*367 so you take the resolution of the monitor and divide by those numbers.

try the Computer technical help forum at the bottom

imo go for a 1920 x 1200 Resolution (best thing ive ever invested in)

the resolution is important, not the size. how many tables do you want to fit without overlapping?

U can get a 24 for less than 400 i believe from dell. Can play 6 tables with a little overlap then.

i would like to play 4-6 tables comfortably on one screen

1600*1200 would probably be best for you. That gives you 4 tables at normal table size and 9 tables at min size with no overlap

4 tables u can play with anyone, the 20" with a 1600X 1200 resolution are good for 9 tables 24" and 1920X 1200 is a bit better

if 6 are the maximum you will ever play, then a 22 inch wide screen with a 1280*1024 resolution is the best choice price-wise

A little above your price range at $500, but you might be able to find it cheaper.

28"
1920x1200 Resolution

So same res as a 24" widescreen, but bigger, which does in fact matter to some extent.

i don't like dell products.. 20 inch 1600*1200 is probabbly a bit more than optimal for me, think of it as a investment as well haha

I would get 2 monitors, like the others have said. I got a 30 inch (Dell) with like a 17 inch on the side. That 30 inch is great for multitabling and table selecting if you want to expand your budget a little.

I have 2 of the Samsung 204Bs and I love them. I just changed them from landscape to portrait last night and I love them even more. I think you can find them for less than $300 - I got mine 1.5 years ago and they weren't even that much back then.

Yeah. I got it from this guy -

http://cgi.ebay.com/DELL-2001FP-FLAT...QQcmdZViewItem

Only problem is, I'm not sure if he's selling refurbished models and claiming they are new. He sells several of them but for each one he says that he's kept it as a spare for a couple years. It did come perfectly packaged in a Dell box with the clear sticky covering over the monitor screen. Mine has no dead pixels and works just as well as the other one I still have from 2 yrs ago, so I'm happy regardless.
