Hi jmurjeff,

Let me start by congratulating you on your win today.

The network is highly responsive towards partners’ ideas which are great. As a network there always needs to be a certain level of agreement for any particular change to work, I’m sure this follows for all networks. The bigger partners on the network will always have more influence.

What we can immediately influence, regardless of a network agreement, will include all graphics, website design and content, affiliate partners, when and how much we advertise to promote our card room, what promotions we offer, staff and so much more.

Regards
Neil

Thanks Neil got lucky in that 3k guarantee in the right places. Didn't fair so much in the 500 Euro guarantee. Gambled when I shouldn't have. (Was in top 3 or 4 in chips with 11 to go) If someone was in the room with me they would've slapped me for the horrible call in that one. lol!

Neil I notice on the Minted website you can download either the custom or the one with real people in downloading the card-room. Is there any noticeable speed differences? Does one run a little slower or is pretty much the same? I also believe you said that Minted will eventually get a store. (Correct me if I am wrong) Will you be able to purchase things with the points in our accounts now? Or will there be an entire new system.

These charges are made by intermediary bank hence we don’t know how much they will be for. As mentioned earlier, the charges are around $30-$40.

In the case of a player requesting a wire of $300 and getting charges of $30, it is understandable he may be upset, however it’s not MintedPoker which makes these charges.

On the discussion about tournaments – as the tournaments are network wide it is the network which makes the final decision. Sure the partners have some input, however to make changes that involve the possibility of overlays would require the approval of all partners; this unfortunately is not always possible.

Regards
Neil
I see. Makes sense. If they receive an email that explains that, then that was what I was looking for to happen. Some kind of a notice that the intermediary banks may charge something.

Big Problem.

I sent a Western Union for $200.00. About an hour later, I checked my cashier and my WU transfer was not showing up (was showing up before)

Contacted Live support, said the deposit failed. Asked them for what happened, they wouldn't give me the information, and is now I have to wait 24 hours until the operation department gets in.

I'm very pissed. I know that all information was correctly filled in, and the WU was correct. Matches my poker account information, etc.

I would like this to be looked at - I don't feel comfortable sending a site that I've never used $200.00 through Western Union, and basically them tell me that it failed - for no reason.

Let me rephrase why I'm disturbed by this.

It's not about what happened, but more about how it happened.

1. The problem caused a 24 hour delay

2. No one knows when, why, or how it failed

3. Customer support told me not to cancel the western union, which I find odd. I don't want to wait 24 hours only to be told that it needs to be canceled, when I could have done this in the first place and everything would have been fine (this goes back to #2, not knowing why it failed).

My suggestion is to give a few customer support reps access to the MTCN information, so they can quickly find out what the problem is so it can be fixed.

This happened to me. Check your receipt. The sent amount is most likely converted into the Philippine peso

I have had the same problem on a few occasions. For starters, the operations dept. usually has this problem fixed by 4am est or so. What they probably will do is give you a new beneficiary name. When you get that new name, you can call the WU cust svc number and change the receiver's name. This only takes a couple of minutes on the phone, make sure you have your MTCN receipt with store location etc...

After you change the name, contact live support. They will let operations know immediately that the name was changed, and from here, you will be credited within a couple of minutes because they will be doing it manually.

Don't worry, they will fix this. I have put in the information perfectly before, and it still didn't work for me. When operations is in, anything can get done, but unfortunately live chat doesn't have the capability to fix these issues.

It is very annoying, especially because when they fix this, it will be very early in the morning, and you will lose a whole day of playing poker. I have already expressed to their operations dept. that their reps that are working beyond operations hours should be able to tackle these issues, but I don't think that will be happening.

Once you try, I don't think that there is anything you can do to fix this. You will def have to wait for operations.

WU has been doing a lot of this on PURPOSE lately, they make money on the conversion. You will be charged more for convenience if you do it online or whatever (yeah, I finally opened up an online account, don't know why, have cash on hand, dang - took 2 seconds, no one even called or texted, just bang, online account).

Haven't used it yet, have warned others against (would be funny if I did)., However, the fee is $15 online to transfer in US dollars. Experience in reading these threads is that yes, the fee is lower if you go to agent (I have one across the street), BUT - their screen explicitly converts your dollars, EVEN if you specify receive in USD. then, you must do again, which is an extra $12 - and, wow - its amazing how it goes through flawlessly the second time.

This happens even though the money is sent in $US, so that's not the reason. Future, can you please enlighten us why the lady behind the counter at Waldbaum's(grocery) would take an interest in how much money WU makes? Why would you warn people against this if it's the easiest way to get money on and off sites right now?

Also, the fee is a flat $12, so I guess you wouldn't know since you haven't tried yet.

Your conspiracy theory that WU is doing this on purpose is ridiculous.

If you think I am being rude again, I feel sorry for you.

That's the funny thing, I asked the person handling the WU NOT to convert it to pesos. She said that there is usually a button to convert it, and she did not press it.

If this was the problem, I wish they would have just said that, so I can call WU to fix this.

Check the piece of paper where your MTCN is, if it's in peso, it should say below the MTCN. You can't change the currency once it's done, you have to go recollect the money and resend it.

That looks to be the problem. I dont understand how they can not convert it, when I asked specifically not to change it to pesos.

Oh well, that gives me a lil hope. I'll go and process it again. Thanks for the help.

Damn, feel sorry for me, because I'm about to go on Suicide watch over your anger. PS - I have cash on site, don't need to deposit - however, you still having problems?

Since I read more than one thread - I've seen this all over the place re Agent transfers.

Also, the warning was against the ONLINE version, because it is traceable.

This. If you're not very specific about it (and sometimes even if you are), the WU agent will screw it up and send in pesos. Stay calm, this has happened to me and others. You'll just need to reverse that transaction and process another one.

You can't just change it to US dollars without paying the fee again?

See the T&Cs for why they send in Pesos above.

The money was never picked up, and it was WU's fault, so it's just a matter of canceling the transaction getting a full refund and then initiating another transaction. I didn't have to pay the fee twice.

You have to request a refund of the fee (while some may be real helpful, they also have some T&Cs for that, and I'm NOT POSTING!!) Many have reported having to pay the fee again.

PS - this all started in the month of May (coincidence?)

Except nfuego.

This may be a dumb question, but those points are the PokerPointsRM section on cashier?

Yeah. They are also displayed in the lobby right under your account balance. They are earned at a rate of 10 points for every dollar contributed in rake.
