I live in Washington State. Am I still able to play for real money on any of the big sites (stars, party, Ft)? It seems like all my deposit options are being denied. Any ways to easily get around these problems? Would opening a bank account in canada help my situation?

You are correct. While common sense says that the state will not prosecute an individual player, **** could happen. They may need to squeeze a player for other reasons.
So, it boils down to, can you afford the heat. In my case, I couldn't. My security clearance (and therefore my job) would be at risk for a felony conviction. I can't risk all that for a few hours of poker.
Like does anyone know of the laws...cause what would stop me from opening a bank account in say...California and playing using that bank account for my bank transfers. It seems like a very hazy law with a large gray area. In either case I guess its slow BM poker for me...I'm in no mood to try my luck.
