Oh really? You are right that anyone can decide where/when to play, BUT once someone has joined the protest, its very not cool to show up in the lobbies and start playing, because you have some sort of responsibility towards the other protesters and the whole protest.Sorry, I am not gonna feel sorry for those players who signed up for the protest, then changed their mind and started playing again.Plus u make it sound that I have the fault that I posted that graph. If u cant take the protest seriously or there is a high chance that u wont be able to do it 100% then dont it.

I think those players who are not participating in the protest and are professionals are either:

1:Not taking the protest seriously/dont think it could achieve anything
2: Dont care about the community/future of online
3:Very selfish and looking only a short term EV decision

And the fact its january, so people dont have vpp pressure or anything.

This is a voluntary protest, not Scientology. Players can leave a boycott anytime that they want. Destroying players' reputations if they decide to leave is the surest way of not getting them to sign up to begin with. Pitting player against player would be a real dumb thing to do.

Players that joined strike and are playing should not be crucified that's for sure. Its their decision, let them live with it.

It also seems clear that the organisers of the protest used some poetic licence as to who had actually signed up and who hadn't (as we have seen from a couple of examples in this thread) - did those accused of signing up to the boycott and then break it really sign up, or were their names added just to boost the visible numbers? Maybe because they signed up to the December protest, but not the January protest? We have no idea how widespread the issue highlighted in this thread is - are 90% of the names published valid? Or 10%? I've no clue....

How does this seem clear and where? Please post actual facts with your statements, if it is clear it will be easy to point out examples. The list they had for the protest was clearly different than the previous list and was missing some players. Raisydaisy clearly signed up in this thread. Sick second post.

that guy signed in by himself in this thread at post #198.

if anyone has been added to a list w/out his word, he must signal that like Xela did ( who was added because he is a big name and the guys tough he will not change his mind at the second protest. Xela said nothing since then, so he is striking too.

Ra1syDa1sy contacted me on skype and we discussed the situation.

Personally, I think and -I have also told this to him-that he hasnt made that big of a mistake, just if someone is going to take part in a protest like this it has to be a 100% fully commitment, because in case someone changes his mind and other players see him/her playing then its bad for the communtiy and the protest itself and one might think: " If he is allowed to play during protest, why am I not allowed to play"?

Its actually fairly simple - if you dont want to participate you dont sign up.

Imo you cant shame people who arent willing to strike but you can very well shame those WHO SIGN UP AND THEN STILL GRIND LIKE NOTHING HAPPEND...

Seriously if you players dont put your heart and soul to it to deal them a month long strike and give Amaya a huge hit.

Nothing will change.

what is with these peanuts 3 day strikes and 7 day strikes.
Amaya wont blink at all.

You guys complain a month is too long. Then would you guys want a change and endure a short term suffering or complain about these and that and endure a long term suffering and get nothing done?

First things first:
We're all acting in our own interests, there is NO moral high ground on either side!
Public shaming is horrible, if this is being done then I will immediately quit the protest and ignore everyone elses interest.
So to everyone, stop shaming right now! RD (or anyone) has every right to follow his own interests.

A valid point, but I disagree.

1.) There will be quitters. The sooner you accept that, the easier it will be for you to fully commit to the protest yourself.
2.) Does it mean that if someone else quits, I'm "allowed" to quit?
It's not about being allowed, you can do whatever you want. The only question is are you strong enough to commit or not? If you quit because a handful of people quit, what does that say about your commitment? The protest has just started and is in full going, so after less than a week I don't see a reason to use this as an excuse.
3.) Instead of quitting, inform more people about this protest. Give them clear-cut reasons for joining us and helping our interests. The protest works best if we continue to increase in numbers, even moreso since we know there will be quitters.

I thought about one thing that could hurt Amaya even more. Sports betting at PokerStars. I'm a huge fish when it comes to sports betting, but I'm sure there are one or two here at 2+2 that regulary wins at it. What if that person opened a thread here that only he could post in, and give us those games?

If we found a massive betting shark, I think we could make even more damage to Amaya by not playing Poker combined with some very good betting.

What do you guys think?

Ha. That would not work. That's like saying anyone who can consistently win at poker (many in this thread) should play 3X more to take more out of their economy and cause more 'damage.'

Winning players who strike are like winning sports bettors as they do not pay rake 'per se'. This is because a winning player who strikes can not physically take money out of the ecosystem. There was this awesome post by this guy R*R who explains how winning players do not 'pay' rake although one may think they do on paper.

Every winning player who strikes can not withdraw any amount of money from the ecosystem during the strike (although past winnings are withdrawable)

It's weird cause maybe the strikers should play 3X more this year? What is this thread about again?

Ha. Just making an alternative point. good luck to everyone. i hope you get what you wish.

The best thing anyone can do is play on a different site. Market share is the single most valuable commodity pokerstars has. Not playing at all is ok, but playing somewhere else is even better.

Wtf you talking about? Can u please write in simple english so i can understand you? My point was there should be not much value lost for any players other than high stakes cash and mass mass MTT players. These will lose most value cause they cant find their volume or games on other sites. But as for the majority of player it should not be that much value lost during the strike. Thats my point. I said so because a lot of players talk like they cant play poker and lose so much $$ striking. When in reality they can make just as much or close to as much playing on other sites during the strike.

This and it's amazing yet I guess not all not that surprising that some players don't have a problem with the bold part. It shows a complete lack of integrity on their part.

Personally my problem with signing up for the strike is that the players protesting to revoke the recent PokerStar changes have not brought about a more viable solution to the problem. It's understandable that many are fighting for their lost value in rewards gained in 2015 but many supporters also seem to support the former model VIP system. I'm in agreement with the part of the protest that is pushing towards greater communication between PokerStars and the players however I'm in disagreement that the solution to the problem is simply to revert back to situation prior to the changes. It's like making someone choose between the lesser of two evils.

There are already sites that exist for this kind of thing.

Not Pokerstars specific but games, results etc. Just need to follow the right people.

By revert back to the situation prior, you mean before Stars acted initiated unethical changes tantamount to theft? It's not a lesser of two evils. Their poor communication effectively allowed them to make considerably more money (rake) during 2015 and then remove their advertised 2-year agreement without compensating the players who had completed their part.

If Stars was to phase out the program but agree to pay the players what was promised to them, there'd be significantly less backlash.

Is there someone PokerStars can approach if they would even want to negotiate? I am very excited to see if this protest really can change something.

Are those We Are All In people talking to Stars or are PS just ignoring whats happening currently?
