otoh, reading the details in that thread there is some justification to their position. I'm completely convinced you weren't at all complacent in someone using depo scam and them dumping to you, but ipoker can't be sure.

If you kept the 20k, they would basically be giving you $ that never existed in the form of $ going to their site, so if you kept the 20k you would be stealing it from ipoker effectively. Also based on that guy's play, he had very little chance of beating you for a lot of $ (or even not losing to you) unless he got lucky and then hnr. This last pt is irrelevant to the ethics of their decision, but I also doubt they want a player w/ your playing habits (playing very small amts of hands at high stakes, most of them against high rolling degens who might otherwise donate it to their pit games or sporstbook) playing on their site in the 1st place.

You could say "Well isn't it there responsibility to verify depos before crediting people's acct? How is this my problem? They have to prove I did something wrong, not me having to prove I didn't do anything wrong." and "I had no knowledge whatsoever I was playing a scam acct, I was unknowingly getting freerolled"" and you would be completely correct to respond that way.

Nevertheless, they are clearly in the wrong and you are in the right and very justifiably upset but I don't think it's quite as clearcut as "ipoker robbed me of 20K" But gl getting your $ back

when pasting the hand into the 2+2 hh converter (thats how you post them right?) there is an option for using position instead of usernames . Uncheck that and you are good.

I hope you will get your money back but honestly it would be a first in the history of ipoker...

I am not pasting the hand in the 2+2 converter. I am exporting the hand from HEM in the 2+2 format. I want to post the hand in the original format, but when I export from HEM in the original format it just looks like this:

As for posting the hands:

1. Right click on the hand, select view.
2. At the bottom right, there are 5 square buttons. The one that is the furthest to the left looks like a little notepad. The one next to it is an up and down arrow. Click that one. Select 'Plain Text'
3. Now click the little notepad. This will copy the hand in Plain Text format.
4. Wait a few seconds
5. Paste, it should work

GL, seems highly unlikely you did anything wrong and this is either deliberate theft/kicking off a winning player, or extreme incompetence.

That is what I have been doing... I think the problem is that iPoker hand histories are unreadable in the original text. They don't look like the normal PS/FTP type of history.

Dont export the hand.
In HEM right click on it and pick Copy.
Come to 2+2, click Go Advanced at the Post window.
Click Hand History Converter and past your hand in there.
Unclick Use Position as Alias.

It still looks messy but you can click Preview Post to check how it looks.
It has to work, I have been posting ipoker hands since forever

#2. Notice in this hand his stack is now $1,000 compared to $400 in hand one. I can almost guarantee this is because I sat out after the first hand and said I didn't want to play shortstacked. He then reloaded and we continued playing. If his goal was to dump a lot of money to me it seems unlikely he would buy in short. Also, on his PTR screenshot someone made a comment that he is "regscum who buys in with 40bb to get action...."

this has happened to a couple of highstakes players i know on ipoker, ipkr said the funds would be redistributed to the players "colluded against". AWAIK nobody ever received any funds at all. Its utterly ridiculous and they continue to get away with basically theft.
