Importance of "reserved seats" on semi-empty tables? Importance of "reserved seats" on semi-empty tables?

hello guys, i have some ideas to abort the scripter/table blocking problems, or at least try to moderate it in some ways.

sorry i haven't made recent screenshot, it is almost 1 year old one, i didn't make it, saw it on the internet poker threads somewhere and found it today with google search: (screenshot by Otb.)

i think it's even worse nowadays, 1 reg + 1 sitout + 4 reserved seat is a very common table makeup on basicly any reasonable limit. (esp. on PS.)

so.. why is it important to know it is a player who is about to buy in for the table? what is the importance of the reserved seats on tables where are empty seats available? i think it is an irrelevant thing for the players playing at the table, i found it even annoying back then when i used to play more on PStars mid/high (mostly mid. tbh :/) to deal with altenate "R"/"empty seat" signs.

what about eliminate the whole existence of this "R" seat on tables with empty seats, simply let more people click on an empty seat and give the seat for the one who buys in first. (so who has auto buy in feature set in, or clicks "OK" first on the buy in panel) (?) auto buy in feature is an old feature, anyone can use it, nowadays scripters abuse it by not setting auto buy in, even when they are playing 100bbs every time. i think it would tend people who has static stacksize habits (50bb, 100bb, whatever bb) to actually use the auto buy in feature. (quicker sit in -> more hands, good for pokerstars, good for winning players.)

i don't think it stops fish from playing, even if they are slow in buying in processes. if there is only one empty seat on a 6max table the fish could get it like 98% of time (rough estimation, no math behind it) because there is an obv. reason why the play goes 5handed on a 6m table, usually 5 regs waiting for a rec. player. i don't think there is a downside for recreational players by eliminating reserved seats, but feel free to comment about this part.

i find the "R" seats only important for players coming from the wailist, i can't find a scenario when more than 1 reserved seats are reasonable. (unless 2 or more players leave a full table at the ~same time, but not on starting/forming tables.)

so the model could a.) eliminate "reserved" seats (abort table blocking potentials) on 0-5-handed 6max tables, but b.) give the freedom for players coming from a waitlist to decide if they wanna play with the 5 sitting players at the table, or not.

tldr.: i want to play on stars, but i hate zoom and find it less profitable to play on the worst tables in the lobby compared to euro sites.
