I read an article in BLUFF by Chris Ferguson, about how he is working on starting with $0 in freerolls and turning it into $10k, while practicing bankroll management. I decided to try something similar, the only difference is that I started with $20 to avoid the freeroll stage. I started with $1 SnG's and graduated to $2 then $5 and $6. Mostly in my freetime over the last couple of months I've turned this into about $160. As an added benefit, my tournament game has improved dramatically and I'm cashing regularly in local live events. It's been a fun and interesting process so far. GL

Thanks again to all the replies. I think I'll do a little of both. I was crushing the low limit PLO games before the internet ban (and my cashing out). I think I might grind it out a bit for fun. Yeah, I'm not trying to turn a big score... My goal's just to get back up to $500 (my roll when I cashed out last year).

These tables are great because:

- players will not clue into what is going on when three people are betting/calling on a 77Q flop (note to the obvious: you want the 77 here).

I'm in the same boat - $0.35 in my Stars account (because that's what I had left at Full Contact Poker when they merged), but ~14K FPP's from when I played there a lot before I had to cash everything out.

I just now finally won one of those shovefests otherwise known as the 70 FPP qualifier to the Sunday $100K. A couple more and I'll be checking out the threads where people buy T$ (T$ don't expire, do they?)

I made 5,5k out of $5 starting at 2ct/4ct (and knowing nothing about poker) and moving up when properly rolled. The low limit HORSE cashgames are a goldmine if you understand the games. If you are a winning player (and have the patience not to move up to fast), you should be able to build a roll from $22 with almost no risk of busting.

Let's argue about this all day. If others are betting/calling, you want the 77. I'd rather that than have QQ and be up against AA and 77 trying to catch one out.

If you think this is the standard explanation for a 3-way pot on a loose Omaha table, you're very mistaken.

The obvious answer is 4 $5.50 single table SNGs.

$1 HORSE tourneys = nice and soft if you know what you're doing.
Woo-hoo! I just thought I'd bump this post and brag that I've now doubled my original $22 stake. I now have $44!!!
It only took a few months, but it was fun.

The $1 HORSE tournaments are fun, but it takes a few hours to cash in them, but I like the variety. $.02/.04 HE gets old.

He asked what his play was over 3 months ago. Weren't you just whining a week or two ago in ATF about how the quality of these forums was deteriorating? Great to see you're doing your part to improve it...

I do have a job. Why do you think it took me three months to earn $22??!!! My day job pays me more than my current win rate of 2/BB Hr which is about 20 cents for me right now.

Yeah, the HORSE tourneys are fun, something my online playing friends can't seem to understand. Playing for multiple hours to get back $1.80 blows their minds. I enjoy the challenge.

Although lately my trick seems to be double bubbling - not one out of the money or a table out, more like two tables out of the money. Frustrating to get so deep and have nothing to show for it. Clearly it shows I don't suck, but...
