First of all, I've already sent in a list of suggestions for the site in hopes that they'll fix some of the bugs but they just reached a new level of sad.

It is Sunday at 7:00pm and they just had to cancel their $10+1 - $750 guaranteed nl tourney ($750, not $750k) because they didn't reach their minimum 15 players. Wow....

Perhaps if the site actually allowed this overlay, players like me would register for these tournaments AND tell their friends and thus create more traffic. Hell soon they could have a 1k guarantee and actually keep it a guarantee!

Easily the best thing about VP is the 6-max and hu microstakes nl and plo tables. Even though there aren't many players, there are definitely a few people to practice your isildurrrring. Oh yeah, and the rakeback! Can't hate on 40%...

so.... if i post the thread in the correct forum, it wont get locked, right?

This is a travesty of epic proportions. We shall not stand for this! Our voices will be heard!

Suggest they make the minimum players needed to be two players instead of fifteen. I bet they could reach that most of the time and everyone would be happy. It's not hard to solve these dilemmas if you just try.

it has nothing to do with the overlay %. It was a seven hundred and fifty dollar guarantee. Focus on the $500 they would've had to pay and not the percentage.

i still have yet to play one of the tournies. Only thing i ever see actually running are micro stake rebuys. Typically have around 12 players it seems like.

They has 8 / 15 required when they cancelled the tournament. I was not registered yet. I assumed they'd allow late reg and the overlay would be reduced to a couple hundred dollars at best

can't do much when the site is low on traffic. Wait and see if the number picks up or if we see any commercial ads or something.

getting 40% RB when they charge around double what other sites charge in rake is not so good...

I have/will not play there but as a warning ! !! The PLO/PLO8 tables have a rake cap at 5 Euros, or roughly 7$/hand even at stakes as low as 50$...
from OP in this thread. not sure on the rake at the lowest levels, but would expect to see something similar.

Its kind of a shame really, when the word starting spreading about the launch of Victory Poker I thought it would really end up being a viable option for US Players - this simply hasnt happened. Nobody is every on the site and guys like me who download the software / create an account have no incentive to deposit b/c there are no games going on. I really wonder how many guys like me created an account with the intent of depositing ultimately decided against doing so b/c we cant even find 1 cash game to sit at. Its like a never ending cycle - people keep looking b/c they here about Victory Poker but nobody deposits b/c there is never any cash games being played or tournies actually going off. The CEO has dumped so much money into this and its a shame he is stuck on the Everleaf network. He really should try and join Cake / Merge / maybe try and pair up with Bodog. There has to be a better option than dumping money into a failing network - unfortunately not knowing all the details on how this business work on the inside its hard to tell if jumping ship is even possible at this point.

I expect someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe you'll find this to be the norm there. Pretty sure this is an extreme example, one you'll only find at very specific Euro tables.

But even if I'm correct, that doesn't excuse it, and it doesn't mean their rake might not be high at other tables. I just don't think it's double across the board.

I think its the other way around but am not 100% sure b/c I havent taken a look lately. It was my understanding that all EURO tables had the excessive rake untill recently when they capped a few @ 3 euro (and not all skins run these tables - thus dividing there already small player base) Im pretty sure the high rake tables still out number the capped euro tables. The USD tables are hardly even a factor as nobody plays on them from what I saw.

How can they afford the Team Victory players? Well I'm guessing they are getting a very small % of the company. If they got a flat fee or money up front its possible the company is losing money.

Thats a good question as he has put quite a team together and seems to be going all out it in advertising. Unfortunately the results of this dont seem to be all that positive.

As far as the euro problem this is the thread that was up in Victory's forum about it.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/16...tables-765406/

They stuck a table or two at each limit (they didnt include all games) and each skin had the option to opt-in. IMO all games should have a standard rake. I shouldnt be able to sit on two tables playing the same game and stakes and be raked twice as high on one compared to the other, this business model makes no sense. The only thing it really shows me is that Everleaf buckled under pressure and offered some lower raked games but left the old ones up in hopes that unknowing players would simply sit the higher raked games. Why else offer the same game with twice the rake ? If a couple unknowing players sit at the higher raked game what options do you have as a player ? You can eithier sit where everybody else does or not play at all b/c they are lucky to even have that one game going most of the time.

jesus. i'm playing the $5 rebuy and its currently 10 minute before break and the blinds are 400/800 with 100 ante. I just got knocked out and didn't rebuy bc it would've only given me 3.8bb if i rebuy full (1500 per rebuy, 2 max). I knew it was a turbo, but that's f sick.

On the other hand, there is a $2 mega stack tournament going on where its on break and the chip avg is over 150bb. I spend $25 on a tournament with a chip avg of 4.5bb and $2 on a tournament where after an hour the average is 150? This all seems so backwards!

Who is running this f site!?
