I have seen some terrible beats there and have also won hands with some crap hands that hit on the river. Is the deal rigged? I don't know and seeing as i am a recreational player i don't really care that much. $20 Deposited can last me 3/4 weeks (once got it up to $350) but then sometimes it can last me 3/4 hours.

Awww, give ray a break. He's not really a riggie and is here solely for the humour value. He actually has a relatively good ratio of funny/not funny posts.

P.S: DON'T wear out the thesaurus with your reply Ray keep it simple so the other rigtards can follow along
When you can't properly spell a word that is a combination of the three most popular short words in the english language in an effort to look intelligent, I think keeping it simple is a proper request.

But this, also.

Having lived in Eire for three years I can safely say that they have no greater incidence of drunks than do the UK or the US.

If you're going to pick someone up on their writing, at least learn how to capitalise correctly.

And it might be a good idea to check your facts. Those are not the three most popular words in the English language.

('of', 'to', and 'in', are the most frequently used two letter words.)

As English is not my first language i will bow to your superiour knowledge of it and send every post i wish to submit in the forum to you in PM. You can proof read these for me and educate me in the English language.

Alternatively you could stop being a pedantic nerd and get a life

Really?

I'd never have guessed.

You can certainly write it like a 'first' language user. Better that a lot of those, in fact - something that is depressingly common, these days.

Yeah, when you're at the level where you're using the word "pedantic" in normal conversation, you're speaking better than most native English speakers!

I gave him the benefit of just considering two letter words (and 'all) as that would have made it more likely that he was correct.

But, yes, it's very likely that he'll come back with some such nonsense. Or BR will wade in.

It's a pity that he's not as pedantic about statistics as he tries to be about English as it would reduce the amount of nonsense he writes.

I was somewhat bemused to see someone on a reasonably intelligent site make some sarcastic comment about people who used 'albeit' (albeit spelled 'albeit') as an everyday word. I've always found it a very useful word in the appropriate circumstances.

Whilst I've never been mocked for using 'albeit' the more captious members of the idiot tendency here tend to get fractious over the use of 'whilst'.

And yet in English schools how much Swedish is taught?

I'll tell you how much: Not a word!

Which means that every time you want to watch an Ingmar Bergman film you have to use subtitles.

Yeah i can't understand why that is. They are starting new programmes where Mandarin will be taught too....It's going to be the worlds biggest market and no sense learning French when you may need to do business in some Chinese city.

Yes, I know, in all seriousness I know why we are so linguistically inept in the UK.

Anywhere non English speaking has an obvious choice when it comes to learning another language. Here we have many interesting languages to chose from but whichever you learn there's a good chance that should you ever need another language it will not be the one you picked.

Of course it will not be so easy for the non (natively) English speaking world in the future when (as you mention) Chinese and Indian languages become more and more important.

I agree with you except when they do have a drink they are far better at it than the Brits or Americans (stereotyping, but generally very true that a night out drinking in Ireland will be significantly better and more of a laugh than anywhere else I can think of)

Yeah, in north america 'whilst' doesn't get used too much so I think it sounds snooty to some people.

I wonder if Nials and Frasier used it.

I'll guarantee Martin didn't.
