They have a real random deal for the fake hand histories they submit as proof obviously. If they submitted the rigged hand histories it would ruin everything.

Doyle Brunson talks about this in Super/System, so obviously live was rigged back in the 70's.

Sigh...

The current studies underway are from HHs submitted by players.

I would love to see this thread. I'm glad a study was done. Awesome.

I think every sensible 2+2er is aware that bots are a very real and very serious growing problem (although, for the time being, it's only a threat to certain types of games). Superusers, well, obviously everyone was scared ****less when the UB/AP scandals became public, but FWIW those sites were already thought of as on the shady side. I like to think that FTP's and especially PS' security and integrity is solid enough to not have any possibility of that ****, but it still scares me.

No one will care there, either, but at least it somewhat unclutters this thread.

Lets admit one thing, the super users of Absolute poker were caught just because they were super idiots too. If they were just trying to hidden the fact that they could see everyone´s cards no one would get them, they would be just good players.

By the way, can you prove sites dont have their own bots playing cash games against us?

Yes, but only for so long. People know what attainable winrates are at mid-high stakes, and there are plenty of dataminers (which help regulate the games). Once they've seen some guy win at a rate of 10 PTBB/100 hands for over 100K+ hands (which isn't drastic, but there's practically nobody doing it at 3/6+), people are going to be rigorously analyzing that player's play. It would be very difficult to keep unnoticed for a very long period of time. Not to mention the discipline, which, IMO, most thieves tend to lack.

Nope, but it would be a waste of time and resources, IMO.

Just like rigging.

And it would likely be caught if it was happening.

While it is fun to think about creative, intricate , massive conspiracies, the reality is that these would be an utter pain to implement in terms of time and effort.

Also, people who assume "can you prove xxx is not happening" fail to realize just how much the player base as a whole serves as a watchdog.

Just look at some of the bot threads and the data that was uncovered. This is not "my AA lost 3 times it is rigged" nonsense, but convincing hand history data.

Also, anyone who thinks the super users were dumb by grabbing as much as possible as fast as possible have no clue as to what the risk is of that type of crime being caught (either by players or the site), so those who would grind mid stakes for 10 years to make what they did all I can suggest is "criminal mastermind" may not be an ideal career path.

what's really too bad is your continued posting of bad beats as proof that the game is rigged.

I doubt he thinks it is actually rigged, he just likes whining a lot. Why that is annoying (aside from a person whining about something no one cares about) is that it demonstrates the frustrating combination of a person being completely self centered without even knowing that is what he is doing.

If one is going to be a whiny douche, at least do it with intent...
