Full Tilt Poker can't deliver a check in 4 months Full Tilt Poker can't deliver a check in 4 months

I have been waiting for my check from FTP for over 4 months now. Everytime I email them, their response is something like.. it's in the mail, we are checking the status, oh and my favorite... wait another 10 to 15 Business days and we will update you. The funny part is, to this date I haven't gotten my money and my original withdrawl date was 11/16/2009.

They gave me the run around for 4 months saying the check got lost... over and over and over... and they where unwilling to send it via certified mail... wow FTP can't spend the extra $2.00

In fact, their last reponse until yesterday was pretty much, wait until we get back to you. However, the minute I asked who was the gaming comission oversseing their affairs, they put the money back in my account... 4 months of run around but the minute I mentioned the gaming comission, they got moving. now here is where it gets even bettr. I know why they do this to theor customers and get away with it. because the gaming comissions that oversee them are also idiots. JUST KEEP READING....

here is my correspndance with FTP (my emails are in blue and their reponse is in red)

Dear Mr S,

Thank you for contacting the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. I am pleased to report that I have completed my investigations into your complaint against Full Tilt Poker.

I have been informed that unfortunately there were delays in your requested cheque withdrawals, which were beyond Full Tilt Poker’s control. I understand your frustrations on this matter and have been assured that you were kept updated at all times during the situation. I have also been notified that the issues have since been resolved as you have withdrawn by another method. You were also given a goodwill gesture due to the inconvenient lengthy delay in resolving the situation.

The Commission are satisfied that Full Tilt Poker did not at anytime breach their terms and conditions and therefore we will not be taking any further action on your complaint.

Kind regards,
C.C.

Are you kidding me?

They take 4 months to mail out a check... you mean to tell me a company as large as FTP lacks the ability to deliver a check in a timely manner?

That's BS... I asked them several times to send me the check certified mail and they refused... I asked them to put it in my account, and they only did that once I filed a complaint.... First of all, I never asked for a goodwill gesture... I asked for my money.. how ******ed do you have to be to take 4 months to deliver a check? and you think this is acceptable? no wonder these companies do whatever they want... because the agency overseeing them apparently has not set any level of customer service standards for them. They can take 4 months to mail out a check, and it's okay because it's beyond their control... My ******ed friend can send out a check faster than FTP.

Miss C., use common sense..... I have to email them for 4 months and no results. but the minute you guys step in... they get their **** together, and apparently you think there is nothing wrong with that.... Let me ask you something, Do you think it's okay for a company to take 4 months to deliver a check.... You really buy that ****, beyond their control??? how often did a credit card company fail to send out their statement in the mail? I have not ever had my mail missing 2 times in a row... I mean, when was the last time you lost something in the mail? FTP is full of it, but you just don't see that. I bet if they got fined once in a while, they would stop doing this ****. First they bounce checks on people, then this.... and they really don't learn their lesson, because they got people like you, that thinks there is nothing wrong....

And they didn't keep me updated. I had to email them 10 times and email all their departments, to get a response on this, because they were ignoring me. You haven't asked me for any emails, or any additional information, and you think everything is okay? Please let me talk to someone else in your organization, because apparently you think what they did is just fine...

look at the emails between me and FTP... my emails are in blue, and their reponse is in red....

when I asked who is the gaming comission who oversees their affairs, this was their reponse was about their software and RNG... ALERT are they trying to avoid the question????

when I told them I want the gaming comission's name their answer was Kahnawake Gaming Commission... THINK.... does it look like they are trying to hide something???????

when I asked them why does it have AGCC at the bottom of their page, they simply didn't reply back... if you can't see something wrong here.. I can see why FTP gets away with everything.

See emails below... by the way, you should start reading the emails from bottom up... starting with my message asking them who is the gaming commission over seeing their affairs...

I hope you can see through this one..... if you really think they didn't do anything wrong, please put me in touch with someone else... I don't think I should have to sit here and convince you... most bright people will see what's going on here, and I am not trying to offend you, I just don't want to waste my time.

I guess that answers how FTP gets away with it. They are supervised by idiots!

Wow Omid,

That is a pretty awful way to treat someone who you are reaching out to for assistance. Apparently you have never worked in the service industry. You lack absolutely any tact whatsoever by writing such asinine e-mails to the gaming commission support staff. Those childish ramblings you sent aren't doing anything to better your cause.

I understand you're frustrated with not receiving your money for 4 months, but seeing your reaction makes me wonder if this is just karma coming full circle on your ass. Anyway, welcome to 2p2.

I thank you for taking time to look into my situation and also for responding to me so quickly. If you'll allow me to present further opinions I would like to dispute some of your findings. I am not satisfied with my treatment by Full Tilt on this matter nor am I confident you have conducted a full investigation on this.

I am curious if you are merely taking them at their word that they have kept me informed throughout because I can assure you that this really has not been the case. But it seems you are saying that you asked them if everything was okay and then they said yes and that perhaps was the extent of the investigation.

Keep in mind that I have been waiting four months to receive my check and they never gave any answers as to why there was such a lengthy delay. I never did actually receive my check which I find quite strange. I'm glad that they finally reimbursed my account with my money but the fact that they couldn't issue the check at all while consistently claiming that it was on its way is particularly concerning to me and I think should be to you as well.

I also find it somewhat interesting and potentially suspicious that they FINALLY got around to reimbursing my account the missing funds when your organization became involved. It felt like they were just stalling and blowing me off until then and it actually took the involvement of the outside organization just to get them to give me my money.

Don't get me wrong. I am truly thankful if your involvement indeed did help me get my money back. But surely it should not be necessary at all just to get Full Tilt to do what is very obviously right.

I hope your organization finds this suspicious as well. And I also hope you are not merely taking them at their word that they have been properly keeping me informed throughout this situation. Them "assuring" you that they've been doing okay certainly is not the limits of your investigation, is it?

I'm not satisfied that enough has been done to look into this matter. Full Tilt has been in the wrong in multiple ways throughout my situation with them to the degree that I felt it necessary to come to you for assistance. So merely being told that they assured you everything was okay is not really a satisfactory response to me. They've been assuring me all this time too yet never answering any of my questions nor ever giving me my money.

i had a similar problem, also with a check approved on 11/16/09

it got "lost in the mail", so after 15 business days i had to request a stop payment. that took 8 more business days to process, which is beyond ridiculous in itself. then i requested another check, and -gasp- it got "lost in the mail" too! so i had to wait another 15 business days before i was able to request a stop payment on that one. waited several more days for that stop payment to process, made a big deal about it to ftp (though in a much more diplomatic way), got a personal representative at ftp to correspond with, requested a third check, and got that one a week later.

total delivery time: 82 days. bonus/compensation: $0.
