This is a winner. I never run Full Tilt any more without running a playlist either very low or on mute.
The bug has been around forever- never fixed afaik- and until someone told me this trick months ago I would have to restart the comp to get sounds anywhere.
Some people have said they can just open a media player when it happens and it will kick back in but that's never been a remedy for me. Only a full reboot would solve it.
I've never lost sound while running a playlist in the background however.
It also helps to not play there often because of things like this that never seem to be addressed.
