Why do you want to do this? They can lock you out of the account but I think the account still exists on the server. You won't be able to open another account if that's what you're asking.

No, and pretty much anything you do involving a second account will get you banned. just ask them for a new screen name. They probably won't give it to you, but at least you'll still be able to play.

Just open a new account bra, and stop using the other one, without notifying FTP of anything. I used my original account for a couple years, went broke, and stopped playing for a while. When I decided to give it another try, I had found out about rakeback in the meantime and so I just opened a new account with a different email address and signed up for rakeback. Again a couple years pass and I get an email from FTP Support that says, we found out you have two accounts, we are closing the one that has the least activity (the original account), you may continue to use your current one but don't make any more new accounts.

I suppose they have better measures to prevent stuff like this now as opposed to a few years ago when this happened, but you might want to give it a shot. I even opened a third account with no money on it just for the purposes of datamining observed games, but now that they have disabled that I don't use that account anymore either.
