Truth. I've never really understood this. Despite the countless massive scandals that have befallen the online poker industry in its short history, there always seems to be an irrational prevailing faith in the security of money in poker accounts.

People have known FTP was involved in shady stuff for years. See some of the comments from this 2008 thread: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/29...candal-363171/

-- Which site is most likely to have major cheating scandal?
"FTP without a doubt, I will go one further and say I will be surprised if some major cheating scandal doesn't eventually come out of FT."
"Yeah, cos Antonious, Elezra, Benyamine (when he was a Red pro) didn't have like 10 screen names each?"
"I voted full tilt poker in this poll. The pros playing/owning in some cases as only reason I voted that way."
"lol, Full Tilt"

Yet whenever somebody gives the rather obvious advice to keep as little money online as you reasonably can, they always seem to get flamed repeatedly.

Wondering how many suicides will come after FTP is declared bankrup 15 september.
08-21-2011 , 07:05 PM
Dutch Boyd mentioned in a QJ interview about ppl killing themselves over losing their livelihood/bankrolls. He said he received many death threats over Pokerspot and feels FTP will get the same treatment. Getting scammed for lots of money with no recourse will make ppl go crazy.

I truly hope it doesn't but I think there will def be some suicides over it but idk how we would ever know.

Remember that some of us have been trying to withdraw since Jan/Feb, so it's not like we just decided to leave all our money online.

Yeah. In hindsight, we should have traded for stars money as soon as our bankrolls got larger than necessary, but who would have known.

If I'm not wrong FTP allowed you to deposit without a limit right ? I would agree if it was Stars but FTP you just could deposit everytime every amount you would wish so there were no point to keep any money there. At Stars I'm not allowed to do that because Stars limit the deposit to 2k montly. That sucks because there I'm forced to keep 20k in order to play nl400+

Since when does PS limit dep of 2K monthly? Is that post BF?

It's a nice way of saying the deal fell through
08-22-2011 , 10:21 PM
The longer it goes on the more desperate FTP is going to be to make a deal so hopefully someone can swoop in and help us out. I'm still optimistic a deal will be made but it's certainly not looking better.

04/28
Full Tilt Poker is diligently working on return of US Players funds which is a top priority and will have a further update for US customers by early next week.

08/23
Full Tilt Poker's number one priority remains the same: to secure an infusion of capital to repay all of its worldwide customers.

Can we catch a break please?

This is so depressing...
08-23-2011 , 12:56 AM
The more they mention the word Capital the longer we wait for payouts. They are broke.

so how expensive it is to buy FT now?

Maybe Ivey, Ferguson (who programmed the FT soft) and Dwan should buy that ****, pick up betraiser's rake system and move to the ****ing top.
