Hi All,
Wanted to know if anyone can explain a trend i've noticed in FR limit games on fulltilt. I've recently been playing at a few different levels in the low to mid stakes games (over the past month) to get a feel for play at each and determine where i want to settle in. Now i realize i don't have a huge sample size, but have noticed the bigger limit games 10/20 and 15/30 have more limping and multiway pots than the 2/4, 3/6, 5/10 which all seem to be playing much more aggressive pre-flop (i.e. a lot of 3-betting at these stakes but not so much at 10/20 and 15/30). I would think the opposite based on years of live game experience. I have a few thoughts on this and would love to hear yours.
1) I've played in live games where certain players are playing together (colluding) basically 2-3 players all take a flop against a pre-flop raiser. They then proceed to raise/re-raise the flop/turn in hopes of pushing out the 1 other player. Anyone whose played live 20/40 limit holdem knows what i'm describing. I suspected this could be the case with the 15/30 FR LHE on fulltilt but the players don't seem to be playing together or trying to push others out post flop. Just essentially trying to hit there hand. Strange the game would play so loose/passively.
2) Players are trying to apprear loose at 15/30 by limping only to "loosen" the fish at the table up, only to change gears 30 min later and turn on the aggression. I saw this a bit from a few players but mainly when they had strong hands.
3) The game was full of lower stakes players not used to playing this high and were playing passive/scared. Hence the limping and lack of aggression (basically hit or miss poker).
Anyway, any constructive thoughts would be much appreciated. By the way i'm new to the two plus two forums and look forward to posing/sharing etc..
Cheers!
