FTP Update 7/9 FTP Update 7/9

07-09-2009 , 03:33 PM
update ran automatically, could insta-log-in, sat down to test and played a few hands.
had no prob at all over here - running win xp version 2002 sp3.
was quite surprised to be honest - did NOT check hand history viewer.
using pokeroffice as db (still version 2) - live tracker doesnt work (i knew),
but bad thing is that i can no longer import hh manually - was still working before ft-upd.

That worked. I can now play on Win XP again.

I love how bizarrely random all of this is. For a few people things are working fine...for many, they can login to the client but still have massive graphics, lag, or hud issues. For many more (myself included), we cannot login at all. For others, today's update wouldn't load. For some of you, yesterday's update screwed your system over badly but today's fixed it. For others, yesterday's update was fine and today's messed it all up.

FTP -- do you actually hire computer programmers to do this stuff or do you just use random people from marketing and human resources and tell them "type some code into this program and we'll put it out in our next 'update'"?

I hope the following helps

1. Go to:

2. Copy the #Security folder to the following location:
C: Documents and Settings<Local User><localised Application Data folder>MacromediaFlash Player

3. Restart the FTP Client

I have tested this on a few different language OS's and this has worked for them all so far.

I hope that this helps, and that you are able to use the replayer going forward.
i think i love you.

2nd day in a row I can't play or work off my mid year bonus due to horrid lag.

Are you trying to make me move to stars or cake

i take this back. i just logged on and sat at a table and the tables froze up on me. then it froze my computer so i had to restart. it lags when you try to log in too

TABLES STILL DO NOT POP UP WHEN THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO!

If any other program or window is active besides FT, the tables do not pop up on action in the background. This means that if you are chatting on IM or or on the interent or whatever even in a completely different area of the screen the tables are not popping forward causing you to timeout.

This is simply unplayable for someone who stacks tables like I do.

FIX THIS

Still too laggy to be playable for me. Tried playing today but quit because the software keeps freezing for 8-10 seconds every minute or so. Timed out with the best hand.

Running of Windows XP, service pack 3, Intel Pentium M processor 1.73 ghz, 1GB of RAM.

Replayer still does not work.
I am using a non english version of windows xp
07-09-2009 , 03:48 PM
i cant believe they actually thought they could get away with introducing those new cards with no other options.

anyway, update seems to work for me. im on a mac. however last nite i had to reload the client to get the HH to work.

i feel bad for FT; i had my own website almost completely crash on me for a few days and it sucked. then again, i dont make billions of dollars a year so.....yeah they need to fix this with a QUICKNESS. I'm sure stars is loving this.

doug, maybe 'update' to the previous functional version and send this **** back to development?
07-09-2009 , 03:50 PM
Running on a mac. Full Tilt won't even open for me after closing when I went to update it. Re-downloading the client from the website doesn't appear to be working.

I just double click the icon and nothing happens at all.

wat OS are you using? i'm on 10.5.6 no problems

Small tip regarding tables not coming to the front...

If you installed the new update as an administrator, try logging off and then restarting the client regularly (non-administrator). This fixed that part for me fwiw. Everything seems to work fine for now, so don't go mucking it up again FT.

Also, thanks for the support Doug, I know you're only doing your job (probably more so), and obv these complaints are directed at FT and its lolprogrammers, not at you personally.

7-Game criticism

HEROS+HA is a bad sequence because it's too easy for someone to sit out of the big bet games, or for a HA shark to cherry pick against a bunch of limit guys. Avoidin this type of behavior is what the HEROS sequence is all about, and there's probably no biggest difference in skill sets as "limit vs. big-bet" play.

H Plo E NL R O S might be a better sequence.
