For those who don't believe SNG bots exist at the low limits, here is a post at bot forum:

I have a ** bot already-programmed to play the Full Tilt SNGs, but want it to play 100% automatic. I do not have the experience or ability to write such an automating program myself. Since I understand and appreciate the amount of time and effort it takes for others to code this, I am willing to offer good money.

Specifications:
1) No bot necessary -- this is already written.
2) No table selection necessary -- FT shortcuts will bring up all the tables I want to play.
3) Needs to automate each step: (a) Clicking Find Next Table, (b) Confirming Chair Dialog, (c) Autoplay, (d) using Bring to take the tables from my virtual machine to my real machine.
4) Must allow for multi-tabling and do all the above with zero key-touching from me after starting the session.

I can pay through either Stars or FT transfer.

Please PM or post with any offers. Thanks.

It would be good to know if the poker sites are activily searching these bot sites/forums & gaining information (ie getting access to the bot programs) so they can easily detect them when they are playing.

That said, i guess they wouldnt say if they were doing this otherwise they may give away some of their detection methods.

It would be even better to know if the poker sites themselves use bots as shills.

Dammit, where's my tinfoil hat.

Yes - they do it, despite that this is a violation of the Terms of service of some of the forums (mine e.g.).

After listing the names of those 5 accounts, they have not played since. Probably a good idea to list the names of all suspected bots to see what happens.

Oh, and how's this for coincidence. If you 'make a transfer' to these accounts, but don't finalize the transfer, you will see the first letter of the city they ALL live in is M.

To find out a little more about that last piece of information, does anyone know the name of an account which has been banned on FTP? I'd like to attempt to make a transfer (without finalizing of course) to this account name to see if the confirmation screen still loads, or if it gives me some kind of warning about the account not existing. If it warns that the account does not exist, then we know that these botting accounts have not yet been banned, and were probably pulled down by the owners themselves.

Oh really? What forum is it that you run that FTP scours for bot information?

Suspicious? Yes.
Bulletproof? Hardly.

Consider two hypothetical human 8-table grinders. They each play a regular schedule from noon to 10:00PM. One lives in Montevideo, Uruguay, and the other lives in Manila, Philippines. As long as they stay on schedule, they will never play each other.

They are all from M., Russia. They play at the same times on different days, maybe not bulletproof but certainly closer than you are making it sound.

EDIT: Moved up a few places on SNG leaderboard and cracked the top 10 thanks to this thread.

Just tried this on two accounts that were banned afaik, and one that was shut down/deleted initiated by the player (self exclusion) - The city letter still shows up. $5 transfers initiated, will post results

Scotty - you should be very careful who you transfer or try to transfer money to. Linking your account (because that's what you are doing) to a banned or fraudulent account is simply storing up trouble.

Yep, I was just thinking that too. It seems like a very bad idea to be transferring money to banned (or possibly dodgy) accounts like this.

You don't need to actually complete the transfer to see the first letter of the name of the city. You just need to fill in the form, and then not confirm when the screen with the icon/name/letter of city comes up.

Good post OP!

I'm a human bot that plays on there 4-12 tables at a time. Some people out there suspiciously play with the same pattern. I need to lessen the number of tables I play so I kind find these bots to exploit. But in the last week or so I've put in couple hundred SNG's, and I haven't been sitting around doing it forever.

What I'm worried about is if bots adjust to your style based on what's in some database.

By the way a few hundred SNGs at the low limits and I'm low ROI.

Besides a certain style and players not playing each other despite high volume, what else should we be looking for? How do the crappy bots bet-size? How do they bluff? How risk adverse are they? Can they switch gears all of a sudden like human players can? How about the better bots? I bet the better bots would be undetectable.

This is why super turbos are so custom made for bots - people are generally playing push/fold from hand 1 , and many of them are multitabling so hard that they are unlikely to notice anything.
