"I just deposited the check I received a few days ago, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it goes through. It is drawn on the same bank I use, so maybe that'll help."

Instead of crossing your fingers why did you not just cash the check????

If we had some insight into what is slowing down the approval process maybe we could be something other than pessimistic, but recent history tells us that there is likely still a problem.

I'm not sure who is getting too worked up for your tastes, but everyone here has every right to get upset until these issues are sorted out.
You have the right to feel anyway you want. My point is that your better off just accepting the reality that this is going to take some time and not letting it bother you. It's not like your anger is going to change anything. The check will get there or it won't. It will clear or it won't. You don't have any control over it. Why feel anything about the issue?

If we cash the check, is it still possible that it could bounce after we already have the cash? Like if the check turns out to be bad or something..

Bro, you stated a fact that was just wrong, and I corrected you. I don't hate you or think that FT has handled this great. But yeah, you'll get your money. If you really don't think you'll see it, I'm sure you can get plenty of action on a hedging bet.

not if it's drawn from an account at the bank.

Right. If I cashed the check and it was no good, then the bank would just take the amount (plus fees, I'm sure) out of my account.

Just curious...why do people try to pick fights in a thread about getting monies?

Depends on what you mean by "cash"...

Cashing a check at your bank is vastly different then "cashing" a check at the bank the check is drawn on...

"Cashing" at your bank means next to nothing...

"cashing" at the bank the check is drawn on and your mostly home free...

These are checks no different from every other check "we" have dealt with all our lives...

I cashed out on 8/14...

That day it was Processing then declined b/c I did it via the email address provided but cancelled that and did it via the Cashier.

Then it was processed again and approved, all within 4 hours.

So cashed out 8/14 ... Approved 8/14. I'll let ya'll know when and if the check arrives.

Also should be noted I did it within an hour of cash pickup being taken away so I think I was probably one of the first people to request a check which may be why it was approved so quickly.

You don't need an account to cash a check drawn from the bank you're cashing it at.

wrong, if you bank at the same bank the check was drawn from. Because most people have no idea how checks actually work?

I bank at the most recent check's processor, so shouldn't be a problem? Hopefully I will get approved soon for my 1k and see what happens. Thanks for the explanations guys.

Guys,
I got two checks today via fed ex.I had trouble cashing one today though, these are drawn off a canadian bank, and are super hard to verify for who ever is cashing your check. We need to hear from anyone that has cashed a check from this method(via fed ex,drawn on a canadian bank).
What did you do?Did the check clear? How long did it take to clear?Things like that.
Obv you can not take these to the issuing bank and just cash them(unless you live in montreal.)
Not sure where to go from here, will look for 2+2'ers advice
thanks

Had a check approved last month, a month went by without it showing, then it got denied, just had another check get approved then denied a few days later. I'm in the process of transferring my money to PokerStars if I can get set up with them. I guess I understand there can be problems, but if I can't make any withdrawals at Full Tilt, why even play there? Hopefully, this will change, but it's been almost 3 months since I've been able to make a withdrawal, and it actually go through. I hear the support at PokerStars is superior, hopefully that's the case.

John

First check withdrawal, though I used the bank transfer in the past.

Received all three of my aforementioned checks (7/8, 7/16, 7/31) today via Fedex.

I deposited two of them into one of my bank accounts, where the money is on hold for 15 business days since they are from Canada, which seems standard to me (foreign checks, etc.). They said the checks could clear sooner than that, and if they do, the funds will be available.

I deposited the third into a different bank account via an ATM deposit, hopefully it will clear without a hitch.

Everyone keeps mentioning bank transfer (I think leader mentioned it like 3 pages ago), but isnt bank transfer down for everyone too? I have 8K that I need to withdraw but check withdrawal is only option. i WISH there was an alternative to check right now...even if it was 'shady alley KGB cash drop off' or something...still beats waiting around 3 months for the checks

Oh, and for those of you whose checks have bounced, what is FTP doing about it? Giving you a bonus? Paying for the fee's associated with bounced check?

When the bad Nevada processor had checks bouncing, they reimbursed the amount of the check and provided $100 to cover bank fees, and then also provided a $200 clearable bonus. That was based on a ~$1,500 check. I think the bonus size may have varied based on amount of the cashout.

As far as I know bank transfer has been down for quite some time (months). If you need to withdraw, a check is pretty much the only option ATM. Also the mean check time is quite a bit less then 3 months from what I've seen.
