it's saturday afternoon and 5/10+ is dead, depressing..

cmon guys do your bit and help get some tables started, play a reg HU FOR ONLY 10 MINUTES at a 6max table and you will be surprised by the number of fish that sit.

seems like microgaming sites are years behind stars and ftp in terms of poker ethics/altruism

You know what I'm sorry, and I'll keep out of it. There probably is a good reason not to share, and really there is no correct way to go about this.

With that said I don't see why posting that you got money out of the owner or you talked to so and so from EL and got your wd helps anyone in this thread. So I guess if you dont want to share any info, you probably shouldn't post things like that.

I'll leave and again, I'm sorry for everyone and good luck. Hopefully you guys can work together and try to see this through in the best way possible whatever that may be.

For the record, I have not received a single cent from EL.

I think people who have received withdrawals should definitely be posting. This will give us further insight into EL ability to process payments.

Those are solid, and I'd add NordicBet and StanJames to the list.

Ladbrokes is 100% solid and perhaps the most solid on the net. It is ashame they have been effected by the microgaming germ from their need to get more players.

I once thought EL was solid as well. They even had a sponsored forum here at 2+2 ($66K/year iirc) and look what happened.

Things change and I'm afraid every change in our (poker) world means "worse".

Ladbrokes are 100% safe and (although I detest they are on the microgaming network) they are traded on the London Stock Exchange.

Ladbrokes plc is a betting and gaming company. The Company operates in five segments. The United Kingdom Retail segment comprises betting activities in the shop estate in Great Britain. The Other European Retail segment comprises all activities connected with the Ireland, Belgium and Italy shop estates. The eGaming segment comprises betting and gaming activities from online operations. The Telephone Betting segment comprises activities relating to bets taken on the telephone. The Other segment comprises international development operations and the start up of its Spanish joint venture. As of December 31, 2008, Ladbrokes plc had approximately 8,800 betting shops in Great Britain. On 4 February 2008, the Company acquired 100% of Agenzie Scommesse SRL, a betting company in Italy. Ladbrokes.com is a primary betting and gaming Websites with over 725,000 active customers betting in 13 languages and 18 currencies. http://www.google.co.uk/finance?client=ob&q=LON:LAD

There were certainly signs that Eurolinx were somewhat shady. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...x-100k-174012/

I hope you guys get your money back.

**COUGH**

The article has now reappeared in the Google listings, so that's my latest conspiracy theory laid bare.

In the unlikely event either of them are remotely interested: I apologise to Microgaming and Eurolinx for the incorrect assmption.

I wish LADBROKES would open to USA Players, why don't they. Is there anyway for USA players to get on there?

Has anyone successfully achieved chip dumping to another skin? Anyone considering it?

What are the chances of getting caught? Given how poorly run most sites seem to be, I can't imagine they're likely to monitor this sort of thing very well, if at all. And it must be pretty difficult to prove, as long you're somewhat smart about it. Not like the guys I saw the other week, raising to $97 then folding when the other shoved $100.

This is monitored by Microgaming, not the sites. The sites have no say in it. And I'm sure Microgaming are aware of the situation and monitor Eurolinx players accordingly.

Any idea about likely punishment?

And how would they go about proving it? "I took a shot and lost...", "I was drunk..." etc., only need to open BBV to see this happens quite a lot.

in the T&C they can punish you by suspending any account you have on microgaming and any of the accounts incolved in it i.e. if it was to a mate

I have seen posts before where they dont need 100% proof, as long as there is a strong enough reason for them to suspect it they apparently can suspend the account and then keep all the cash in them. Doesnt seem fair but I know its happened to a lot of people. They have to monitor it carefully as it could be open to money laundering etc.

In the current situation I'd imagine they are on ultra alert as its the obvious thing for EL and BoB players to do

I understand them monitoring it for money laundering, other than that I don't actually see the problem with doing it. If two people want to exchange money, both have committed no crimes and no other players are involved, I fail to see why they should care.

I guess I/we need to weigh up the probability of getting caught versus the probability of not getting paid. If it goes on much longer, I think it might be worth the risk.
