honestly, everyone go look at carbon poker. carbon probably takes in 1/4 the amount of rake that cake does, and they still somehow manage to have software that is at least 10x better.

- lack of mucked hands in hand viewer is irritating
- can you get rid of "Fold to any bet" and replace it with "check/fold" please?
- please stop popping all cake windows to the top when one is selected.
- only two seats should be available on a HU table. Nobody should be able to sit anywhere except across the table from you.

- actions are laggy for me at the moment although I did just get a new computer so that could be it

Also, please stop going to the info tab whenever I get a gold card, this is very annoying.

For that matter, please stop revealing to my opponents that I likely have a low card every time I get a gold card.

Well, I'm not playing at the moment but I'm fairly sure that's not the case.

WTF is happening with the "VIP status" tab? It used to show how many hands I played the day before, how much rake I paid, and how much rakeback I earned. Yesterday I played a bunch of hands and it says I played only one hand... And it is not the first time this happens since they started paying RB weekly.

The whole table can see the face of a GC that was a showdown card.
You also see the face of any card you win.
Just the backs and the recipient of non-showdown GCs are shown to the rest of the players.

That's what I thought happened. There's something like a 97% chance that a gold card is a 6 or less, so it does reveal significant information about the winners hand.

However, this would be one of the least pressing of the the problems I listed. I just think the system is flawed.

Cake: roll back the update that removed mucked hole cards from the hand history display because you have removed a very basic expectation of playing online poker

seriously I've had HU matches against recreational players who just didn't understand why they couldn't see my cards any more. One thought i was 'hacking' them to remove this feature. I've come to agreements with players HU that we both show at showdown so we can play a normal game of poker.

I've recently moved back some of my play to cake poker and i've generally been really impressed with the software developments like the auto-top up feature, working with HEM to allow HH tracking, options to muck-and-show, etc. But this is really a blunder to roll out this update, and even worse that the issue is still there 48 hours later.

Guys, this is a big thread that I haven't read. The subject says "official", but is there anybody from cake posting in this thread?

I like the no HUDs thing. I really think that HUDs are bad for game softness.

I somehow just found this thread, even though I've been on Cake since May. As many people have reported previously, Cake support is awesome. They were really helpful when I was trying to set up my account and they were also pretty picky about the quality of the documents I sent to them, which I actually appreciated. Then I tossed away the NetPay credit card I deposited with when my registered card came, and I was really freaked out about how to enable my account for a payout, but they came up with a solution for me.

The post regarding Cake actually closing a scammer's account is awesome!!! NO other poker network would bother. I've seen so many threads where Stars and FTP just said, "Yeah, scammers suck. Sorry about your luck dude."

Could someone please explain what the rumblings about a change in Cake's rake model is all about? It's making me a little bit nervous. Could Lee address it if possible? Thanks. You're awesome and I'm glad I found Cake. I LOVE the no-HUD policy. LOVE IT.

It only shows the gold card you won if you went to showdown. If you folded your hand and weren't involved then it won't show the gold card you won

Below in red is the notice taken from my VIP page at Cake. I also couldn't understand this either so I tested this by playing exactly 100 hands on a Friday at the equivalent of 16:00GMT. Nothing showed in my stats page the next day Saturday after 03:00 so I didn't play anymore. At about 4:00GMT on the Sunday I logged in and there they were, the 100 hands that I had played. I think the way it works is, the stats are updated every 24 hours but they are updated for the hands played not in the 24 hours which have passed but the 24 hours prior to that

*Information is updated once every 24 hours at 03:00 GMT
*Starting May 1st, 2009, there are no more deductions from your Earnings.
*Payment cycles end on Tuesdays at 23:59:59 GMT and start on Wednesdays at 00:00:00 GMT
*Every effort will be made to pay your Earnings directly into your account within 48 hours

I seriously think that the player market would go up considerably if cake had bankwire withdrawal options.

It still gives away information about your hand. If someone for example checkraises a 3 Q A r flop and their opponents fold, the face-down gold card that hovers over to them tells their opponents that they probably correctly folded against the raiser's 33.

+1 for fixing the cards being mucked at showdown. I try to spread the word about what a good site Cake is but it sucks that in an attempt to improve the software they took a GIGANTIC step backward. Please fix this ASAP!!!!
